And the type of arrogant Michigan fan I really despise more than a Wal-Mart Wolverine. You act like you're more of a fan than the next guy. Well, take a look at your Mgopoints- I'm at least 3x more of a fan than what you are. I may not be a UM grad ( I currently attend Cal Berkeley), but at least I don't have shit attitude like you. Enjoy your weekend turd!

Michigania, fuck you.  I didn't go to U of M, I went to Western.  But both my parents went to U of M and raised me as a Wolverine and taught me to keep Saturdays in the fall reserved for the Winged helmet.  I was born in Ann Arbor, was raised in Ann Arbor and lived 20 years of my life in Ann Arbor.  As a kid,   I was a ball boy for the U of M women's basketball team for 3 years and the Men's team for 1 year.  I worked for the University of Michgan Rec Department for 3 years.  I've turned down job offers because one of the requirements was working on Saturdays and I've missed weddings because it was during a game.

So what in the world makes you think you understand more about Michigan tradition than me?  Why does your 4 years of going to U of M trump my entire life of being a Michigan fan?  You better fix you backwards MSU-like thought process that only alumni can be true fans, because its as far from the truth as possible...jackass.

The news about the news is that there is no new news in which case the news isn't new so the news we knew about the news we want to peruse is true.

Now in May, June and July. Can't wait to open up the box with free cars, rent, girls and probation due to the lack of institutional control. Throw in a show cause and it's like a fantasy progressive insurance commercial. The school down south seems to be into bundling it's violations.

<br>The best thing will be the press conference where the university board fires the school president, athletic director and little red sweater vest. Adter that the mass exodus of biblical proportions. This is the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you very much NCAA. I forgive you.

The worst thing to me is that with the alleged cheating that has been going on at tsio I feel like "The Rivalry" has been tainted.  It needs to be cleaned up so that "The Game" feels real again.

I agree that the UM needs a strong rival in tsio.  Hopefully the cornhuskers will fill that role during the time tsio spends in Bolivia.

"The Game" and the rivalry will feel real again once OSU has to pay for their corruption.  That is the first step to getting everything back on track from a moral standpoint.  Michigan also needs to start looking like Michigan again.

In the meantime, some major humiliation and pain is what America's worst fan base needs after a decade of pounding their chests while cheating their way to wins and championships.

..... for a liveblog. After all the crap we've been through, it will be nice to have popcorn with comrades and watch the destruction of Mordor. Well worth getting fired for.

I'm feeling like this may be a little too much hype for one article. Although there can never be enough hype about the Bucks destroying themselves, how do we know this isn't just some retread of all of the other articles we've been reading lately?

How do we know you ask?

Because SI sent in George Dohrman to do the piece.  George is the journalistic equal to Luca Brasi and you don't send your best killer in and have him stay over 6 weeks unless you have a very important job to do.

Right Moe?

but this particular SI writer is well known for his investigative pieces... so I'm going to believe (hope) that this, too, will be hard-hitting and insightful, with the end-result being further pain and discomfort for tOSU

This article can't possibly live up to all the hype it's getting, except for one possibility. Dohrmann won the Pulitzer for breaking a basketball scandal story. He also recently wrote a book about all the shenanigans involved with AAU basketball. It's possible that the piece he is now doing on OSU is about basketball not football, or at least somehow implicates basketball in the current scandal. That would be huge. It would be the missing element needed to make the situation worse than USC and force the NCAA to hit OSU with loss of institutional control. It also would be the end of Smith and probably even Gee.

A vote AGAINST a liveblog.  Sure, it's fun in a schadenfreude sort of way, but let's not stoop to that level.  It's intriguing and exciting that our rival is getting hit with all of these allegations, but it shouldn't be treated like a party.  That'd be the equivalent of those drunk Americans who  partied in the streets when Osama was killed.

But a liveblog doesn't have to be a celebratory thing.  IIRC, we liveblogged parts of the Jihad (specifically the MSC/RR Presser).  A liveblog is more about the quick dissemination of information in one place for an event that is going to generate a lot of interest.

It would be up to the LiveBlog Mods to minimize the OMG WE WON O$U $UCK$ USA USA talk...
