Semi-OT: Fantasy College Football

Submitted by MGoRobo on

I've been doing fantasy college football the past 4-5 years and am looking for people to join my 10-owner league. It's a great way to have something at stake with the rest of the games scrolling underneath this week's Michigan game. You can draft players from any FBS team, although you get a 25% reduction for any player playing against an FCS team that week.

Draft is on August 14 at 8pm Eastern. Roster, scoring, and playoff format follow CBSSports rules, outlined HERE. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]. This is for fun and glory, not for money.

To join, create a profile at fantrax.com, then go to the right and click on "Join League"->"Private Commissioner League" and use League ID "rqb0lphzic9mpllz", with password "forfree" (quotation marks not included.)

What if Iowa State is playing an FBS team, shouldn't it be worth 25% more? Perhaps a more appropriate question would be why am I drafting Iowa State football players. Their class is rated lower than Yale's.

Yeah, but it's way too easy to pick Alabama putting up video game numbers against Northwest Alabama State or whatever almost fake-sounding school they're going to open up their season with. So you pick players that will go up against the Akrons and Miamis (NTM) of the world.

In rankings Brandon Doughty is #1, but I don't know if I'd be willing to put my first pick on the line for him. Would rather go for a first-rate running back. I had Melvin Gordon last year. The week he broke the rushing record he basically won me the game singlehandedly. I proceeded to lose by a tiny bit the following week to the guy who started Samaje Perine when he broke the record again.

You are an immature idiot and UM should have never admitted you. Hopefully you'll learn once your testies descend. Having a 3rd grade Twitter slap fight with another teenager doesn't make you a fan. Us not taking time away from our evening to "come to your defense" has nothing to do with being a "fan," and it is absolutely zero measure of anyone's fandom. It has to do with us being far more mature than you.
