SEC West - You're on notice

Submitted by 1464 on

As of today 4 of the top 13 recruiting classes are from the B1G East.  To be fair, another 4 are from the SEC West.  But the B1G East have the players and the coaches to sit at the big boy table now.  As much as I hate endorsing MSU and OSU, we have 2 BCS winners from last year, including the National Champs.  We have two of the top three coaches in all of college football.  Pretty spectacular that Dantonio is the third best coach in the division.  We have the horses.  It's time for the changing of the guards.

I admire your spunk (PHRASING!) but this seems a bit premature.  Until we go out and start winning games, all this is doing is riding on 50% hope, 50% sparty and buckeye coattails.

I'm going for it. Michigan has its best coach since Bo. A top 5 coach at any level of football right now. They have a stockpile of recruits from Hoke, a stud DB set to emerge, like 30 options at QB (one HAS to pan out), home games against our toughest opponents, and all the off-season buzz that there is. Our coattail days are over.

Some of the commits that we already have will move up in the rankings.  Even if the 2 stars move to 3 stars when they get evaluated.  This is going to be a very strong class.

Has all the lookings of a top 5 class come February 2016. That is exciting news after the last two "Hoke classes" missed on key targets (Hand, McDowell, and on and on and on).

First of all, he accepted 3 2* recruits... but that doesn't answer the question.

The reason people are belly-aching is because people always bitch about anything and everything... some people always find something to bitch about, these people could be hanging from a rope and complaining about the view. Thats why.

They may return to Earth, but they'll still be the best conference.  Most talent is in their footprint, boosters are out of control, and the schools are willing to shell out the dough.

but it just might be a lunatic you're looking for.  Nowhere near the talent left by Bump for Bo to coach into AAs, howeva, there are a lot of good players on the roster that haven't even began to receive real coaching until this season.  Remember Bo lost three games his first season but he did produce not only three AAs on the OL, but all three ended up in the NFL Hall of Fame and all on one side of the ball.  Could be deja vu all over again.

should be resolved by simple competition.  Schedule home and home with SEC teams! (and sometime before I get to a retirement home, please)

I'll go down south to see some football!

My dream would be the first game be every team from the SEC West ranked last year against the matching team from B1G East. Same thing for SEC East and B1G West. Then rotate every two years between conferences. That lets us see how the conferences rank up from top to bottom.

Then again I would have an eight team playoff with 5 conference champs (if in top 10) and three play-in spots.

Is 3rd best is the stupidest shit I have heard all day, and I've been on this board all day too, so that's means really fukin stupid. OSU and MSU have been wiping there ass with Micigan for a decade. You have a coach hasnt won a funking thing, nothing as your HC. He hasn't proved he is a better coach than Beckman at this point. He sure as shit isn't even close to Dantonio and Meyer. They are cream of the crop in all of FBS. Harbaugh is just a wet dream at this point and doesn't belong in the same conversation. He is the head coach of a 5-7 team for crist sake. Sorry but " hope" doesn't earn you a place with the best. Fukin stupid
