With the conclusion of the 2013 college football season ending in thrilling fashion tonight, there are now 235 days until Michigan kicks off the season at home vs App State.

CAN'T WAIT (Bart Scott Voice)

Let's hope the 2014 offseason treats us well.

EDIT: ESS EEE SEE goes down! Commence!

You guys who experienced 1997 are so lucky.

I'd give ANYTHING to be born in 1980 instead of 1995 so I could experience 1988-89 - 1998-99:

  • 1 football national championship
  • 7 football Big Ten Championships
  • 3 Rose Bowl Championships
  • 1 NCAA Basketball Championship
  • 2 NCAA Final Four finishes and 3 NCAA Regional Championships
  • 1 basketball Big Ten Tournament Championship
  • The Fab Five
  • 2 NCAA Hockey Championships
  • 4 NCAA Frozen Four finishes and 6 NCAA Regional Championships
  • 5 CCHA Championships and 3 CCHA Playoff Championships
  • 9 GLI Championships

in 1991 how we suffered the worst beatdown ever (at the time of course) at Michigan Stadium, I could NEVER imagine myself ever wanting Florida State to win anything. But when Brent pointed out that they were chanting "SEC" in the first half, I became their biggest fan (for tonight).

First Grbac pass of the game, pick 6 by Terrell Buckley. Felt like some had a giant needle and sucked all the air and sound out of the Big House. But, if memory serves me correctly, we somehow got within 2 scores late 3rd or early 4th quarter. Lost by 19? Strictly from memory, something like 52-33. I remember on State after the game a lot of students were mocking the "semenholes". Anyone?

I was only 3 years old when we won it in 1997.

Since I started really watching in 2002, I've seen us beat down by OSU nearly every year, them win the national title that year, them win six big ten titles in a row from 05-10, and play in two other national title games. After the shit ending to the 2006 season, I along with the rest of the country including ESPN, thought it was our year in 2007. Well...you know how that went.

NOW I have to see MSU and OSU play in the big ten title game while MSU plays a style of football exactly like what we used to play and finish the season 13-1 and #2 in the country.

Can you see why I'm frustrated as hell? I'm tired of watching the team I love underachieve.

I thought about that during the winter classic. What a great few years the late nighties were for us Michigan / Red Wings fans (of which I was neither then)

1996: Michigan Hockey
1997: Red Wings, Michigan Football
1998: Red Wings, Michigan Hockey

I'm surprised some of you made it through those years without dying of overwhelming happiness

Dude, I hope you are not serious! There is way more to life than Michigan sports.  Don't wish it away.  If you want championships so bad, I hope are going out and compete for some yourself rather than just watching others do it.  Watching sports is fun, but there is way more to life than that.

Good Luck!

Especially guys who finish 6th in Heisman voting and strike the pose in a game they lose

That's how it's done Tre. Now as punishment, I sentence you to have to go back to Alabama. I hope you'll learn your lesson there

I'm pretty sure that with the four team playoff, presumably no more than one from any conference, the SEC's dominance will probably be seen as just a myth.  I mean, you'll actually have to play two other teams outside of your conference that are ranked top 100.

Hopeful for more Blue in the post season, gang!
