November 2nd, 2010 at 10:30 AM ^

How the hell did that manatee get out of the water and onto a bed?! Crazy!!
November 2nd, 2010 at 12:48 AM ^
thanks the shredder, but I was hoping you of all people would of put up a great MS pic. Just tired of reading so many threads aimed at "fire him" or "why field a defense".
November 2nd, 2010 at 1:15 AM ^
lol im new here but ive been reading this blog for like 4 years every single day so i know what's up- just haven't felt like posting til recently. this post is making me laugh because i feel like we're all in therapy right now and trying to find our HAPPY PLACE.
regardless of what happens i'll always ride it out with the wolverines. these aren't the brightest of times but when i see the boys run out of the tunnel every saturday i can't help but get goosebumps.
honestly, the best medicine ive taken recently is watching the 2006 defense @ penn state video. holy shit i forgot how cool that was. that gives me hope man, and then i watch the 2010 notre dame video right after that and that's the michigan team i see in my head some day. i don't know if rich rods the guy but ill cheer for him til he's gone. michigan will be back, have no fear my brother!

Just because...
Over? Did he say over? Nothing is over until we decide its over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? No. And it's not over now. When the going gets tough...the tough get going. Who's with me?
November 2nd, 2010 at 4:53 AM ^
Germans...Pearl Harbor? Uh? Is this a joke?
November 2nd, 2010 at 6:17 AM ^
go rent pearl harbor and tell me if you see germans flying those planes...
November 2nd, 2010 at 6:36 AM ^
Go rent "Animal House" and see why this is funny
November 2nd, 2010 at 8:04 PM ^
on my way to work that line came from animal house, wasn't quite awake yet at 6:15am... my bad...
November 2nd, 2010 at 9:55 AM ^
I'd rather get my eyes poked out than watch Pearl Harbor again. And seriously, if you are using movies as a reference for history...Um...I got nothing. Especially that movie.
November 2nd, 2010 at 10:32 AM ^
Brian for the sake of us all, please raise the bar to at least 1000.
November 2nd, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
i have no points and i still agree with this, threads like this make blogs not fun to read
November 2nd, 2010 at 1:18 AM ^
... get an extra 3-4 weeks of practice and an extra game.
November 2nd, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
bring up the most important thing here. Sure we're all ready for a bowl season that involves big blue, but the most important aspect of winning at least one more game is those extra practices. Especially with all of our youth.

As frustrated as I've been with how the past month has gone, I can honestly say that this team is made up of some of my favorite people (that is to say, the players as excellent individuals). This part really sums it up for me:
Come on now how many times you laughed (smiled) when you saw Denards smile from ear to ear talking about the TEAM, Lewan and his moustache tattoo, Roh and his eyebrows on media days, or MM and his hulk like frame, oh and Stonum's fashion sense for media day...
Seriously, these guys are some of the most admirable and lovable group of guys to make up a Michigan team in a long time. Cheers to you OP, you hit the nail on the head.
November 2nd, 2010 at 1:59 AM ^
Absolutely not over.
When the season started, I was hoping for 7 wins, and would not have been surprised if you told me we would lose to MSU, Iowa, and PSU.
Of course, the PSU games now seems like a much more likely win than the Illinois game this week. And the way we lost to PSU does seem pretty damning.
But a win this week would change everything, and it is still Illinois we're talking about. At home and sans Juice.
I 'll stick with the boys this season until the clock reads zero in Columbus, and God-willing for another 4 weeks after that too!
November 2nd, 2010 at 2:15 AM ^
Ill feel better if Mike Martin does...
November 2nd, 2010 at 2:20 AM ^
I woke up after a decent nights sleep on Sunday morning with an urge. I usually try to go to 2-3 games a year and I went to the MSU game already & have tickets for the Wisconsin game already. Yet I felt like I have to be at Saturdays game. So I went on ebay Sunday night and bought 2 tickets. Got a good deal too. Section 33 row 2 for $85.00. Looking forward to seeing my team and as always, Go Blue!

“I don’t have to think about it, everybody else writes about it,” Rodriguez said. “Everybody wants to focus on the negative, nobody ever wants to talk about the positive. I guess that gets people’s interest, it sells papers, people turning on the TV, the negative story’s coming on, the world’s coming to an end. There’s a bombing, there’s something tragic. But if it’s positive, that don’t sell. Probably why everybody watches reality shows right? To see em get in catfights. 'Jersey Shore,' whatever you call it. They want to see two people get in an argument. Boy, if they get to the point where they would actually try to swing at each other? That’s going to get great ratings.”
Jersey Shore? Bombings? In a football press conference? Rich, what are you thinking man? I know there are some bright spots on the team, trust me, we are taking whatever we can get. But the negatives are really showing up in conference play. People are going to write about it. People watch jersey shore because they are bored and want to see people make asses of themselves and from the looks of things it seems like people tune in to your press conferences for the same reason. Externally, it's on you. Not on the players, not on the youth, not on the injuries, not on the coordinators. You. Own it and you will have my respect. (if you win of course...kidding.)
November 2nd, 2010 at 4:36 AM ^
I'm guessing RichRod doesn't give a shit if he has your respect.
Also, Would you like to tell me how he hasn't "Owned" it? And please don't use the tired "I can't believe a coach blames his players" meme. It's played out and untrue.
November 2nd, 2010 at 3:43 AM ^
This made me smile for a minute.
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:34 AM ^
He doesn't have a clue.
November 2nd, 2010 at 9:56 AM ^
You quite possibly just made my day with that one.
November 2nd, 2010 at 10:24 AM ^
Best part of the game. I am also of the opinion that the D stepped it up a bit after this.
November 2nd, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
I loved that, too. If nothing else, he's a fiery guy and maybe that can give the players a little more edge.
November 2nd, 2010 at 3:47 AM ^
Or at least one to improve over last season. I hope! As always, I enjoy watching and rooting for my favorite football team! Go Blue!

Nothing is over until we decide it is.
Was it over when the....Germans bombed Pearl Harborn?
Hell no!
And it ain't over now. Cuz when the going gets tough................................
..............................................................
November 2nd, 2010 at 5:51 AM ^
Hell no!
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:01 AM ^
I have been saying this for weeks no. ILLINOIS AND PURDUE ARE MUST WIN GAMES!!!! Hell no the season isnt over. Lets go down to shitty Columbus and fuck there world up.
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:04 AM ^
Knowledge came on here and said "Farewell Season"
I do not share his negativity
Michigan will likely win 1 or 2 more games to clinch a 7 win record
Yes
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:50 AM ^
Then I'll go with 2.
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:19 AM ^
For the crowd of normally reasonable posters here who have suddenly decided that things are UNACCEPTABLE, even if they avoid their caps keys: it would be a lot nicer if you continued to support "your" team. And really, when it comes to "unacceptable," if one was looking at the schedule before the season started, Iowa and PSU would probably have been pencilled in as losses.
Only the loss to MSU would have been truly unacceptable, and that was based on assumptions that they would be Same Old Sparty instead of somehow fulfilling their dreams of competence. They lost to two good teams and one that may be finding itself. Also, they haven't won a "game they should lose" yet.
This team can make it into a bowl this year. I wanted it to be a little better than it is, but I will accept what is on the field and continue to support the team and its coach. I really wish the whiners would just go away until next year, when they can talk about how they "had RR's back all along."
November 2nd, 2010 at 7:48 AM ^
We have at least 2 more wins left in this season ( as I'm crossing my fingers, toes, legs and arms)
November 2nd, 2010 at 8:40 AM ^
No the season is not over, Illinois can be a win, Purdue can be a win, Wisconsin is unlikely but I would not be suprised if Michigan won, and OMG the GAME. OSU, anything can happen.
Everyone is upset, and for good reason, but wait till the full season is over and than look to the future of the program. Too much season is still left, HOLD THE DAMN ROPE.
Go Blue
November 2nd, 2010 at 9:29 AM ^
If only to give the defense 3 weeks of additional practice!
November 2nd, 2010 at 11:14 AM ^
I don't believe we'll win any of our remaining games for reasons that nobody wants to read here, but maybe we'll get lucky. There's been precious little of that over the last 2+ seasons.
November 2nd, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
where can i find these reasons?
