Because both Texas and TCU are having banner years recruiting-wise.  I think aTm is doing a really good job of keeping kids w/o UT offers in state, where in the past those kids may have gone to one of the Oklahoma schools, or maybe Tech.

Is the move to the B10 already hurting Nebraska? They have 5 commits and not a single one in the top 100. No kids from TX and, in fact, only one from what is now B12 country (Missouri).

Generally, that might be true, but this time last year they had 10, including 2 from TX. If I were a NE fan, I might be a little concerned about the total absence of TX kids so far this year. That and the fact that Michigan, most likely my primary rival in the B10 West, is knocking the cover off the ball.

I can't see enough good news on the recruiting front.  Does anyone know when they will start re-ranking players?  Is it after the HS season starts?  I can't wait to see if some of our guys move up.

A factoid is not in fact a little fact or a bit of trivia.

From Wikipedia:

factoid is a questionable or spurious—unverified, incorrect, or fabricated—statement presented as a fact, but with no veracity

No, I did not add the veracity part myself.  The belief that a factoid is a bit of trivia is in fact a factoid.

Fact.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary fac·toid noun \ˈfak-ˌtȯid\ Definition of FACTOID 1: an invented fact believed to be true because it appears in print 2: a briefly stated and usually trivial fact Examples of FACTOID 1. The book is really just a collection of interesting factoids.

I think it'd be really interesting to see a ranking of the best non-starters in the country. Obviously they'd almost exclusively be on stocked teams, but we rank everything anyway, so why not? Side note, I think Tate could have taken "best second string QB" last year in a landslide.

Just like Rivals - ranked very high due to 21 commits; however, even if ranked in average stars per recruit we are tied for #8.

That's Rivals #8 and Scout #8.

Considering we can be very selective with the last 3-5 recruits we will have a top 10 class, more likely a top 5 class when it's all done

Especially once we tie up all the other highly-rated recruits, right?

All joking aside, I think this class is almost guaranteed to be in the top 5 nationally, and far and away the best class in the B1G/Midwest. Here's hoping everyone who has already committed sticks around for the greatness that is Michigan Football!
