If for some reason Angry Michigan Hating God makes us lose tomorrow and UConn is as good as people say they are I dont see this as Upset of the week... UConn is a 2.5 point underdog while Oregon State is like a 10.5 point underdog against TCU... I dunno though F Mark Schlabach

#15 Pitt losing to an unranked Utah would be a bigger upset, if you consider rankings important. Now I will be far more upset with us losing but with all the questions around both programs I think it's too close to call in regards to who the better team is coming in. Isn't that why Vegas has the line so close? I think so and that how you determine an upset, when an obviously better team loses. If I take off my maize and blue goggles I can't see that, put them back on and it's another story. Maybe he's got some goggles too.

No kidding.  What an idiot.  Considering that what is most likely to be the largest upset of the weekend already occurred before his piece went onto the web, I really don't understand the logic here, unless it would be an upset simply because it would be "UConn over Michigan", which makes no sense in terms of the actual teams involved (as opposed to their level of mystique).

Also, it looks like he's broadcasting from his grandmother's guest bedroom.

I'm just happy that they didn't pan down from his head during that segment, as I can only presume that he was sitting there without any pants and sporting some black calf-high socks in his bedroom.

I know ESPN has a billion talking heads, but it should be a prerequisite that you have to be in some form of a studio before you can talk, not streaming over your iPhone 4 with Facetime.

Schlabach's upset of the week  is a UConn team that is widely favored and only getting points because they are the away team?  Way to go out on a limb.  He must have had a hard time picking between Florida and Texas for his lock of the week.

Did Schlabach tape this segment in a nursing home?

What are those framed doilies and plates on the wall behind him?

Can't trust a prediction from a guy like that.  Gives me more confidence.

Schlabach is one of my least favorite ESPN guys - and that's saying something.  He is both an idiot and a prick.  Most of the ESPN people are one or the other (Cowherd excepted, OBVI).

because I was there when our team came out of the hole with OVER confidence and we ended up losing to a AA school out east (I won't mention any names so as not to ruin anyone's day).  So our team looking like the underdogs in this game to the whol ESPN audience is just what we need to blast out of the gate with fire coming out of there ears!   GO BLUE!!

Schlabach sucks.  I'm sure there are a wide variety of things that he sucks on a daily basis, mostly other men's balls.     What a pussy of an "upset" pick, anyway.    UConn went to a bowl, UM went 5-7, and when every fucking reporter in the country is kicking them while their down, this asshole picks an "upset".      Shitbag.  I'll never read anything with his name on it again.

there's a guy who emails the University of Washington and the US Department of Geology every week with an earthquake prediction.  Eventually he's correct, and that's when he calls the newspapers and shows them the email.

It's not an upset if UConn wins. That's like saying Stanford over ND would be an upset because usually they suck and ND is usually good. Schlabach is a moron.
