SBNation's 2016 CFB Recruit All Name Team (McDOOM)
Good Morning Gang,
Thought I'd pass along this article (LINK) as it makes for an interesting read. It will come to no one's surprise that Eddie McDoom made the first team WR selection. Also, former commit, Sir Patrick Scott (of Maryland) gets a mention as well.
Enjoy. Discuss amongst yourselves. Whatever you kids are into these days.

Personally think Boss Tagaloa is a bit of snub, but DT is stacked so it's not too egregious of an omission

Boss is a total snub. Handsome Tanielu is strong, but Bo Peak is Asiasi.
January 28th, 2016 at 10:59 AM ^
Handsome Tanielu has got a built in icebreaker at the bar for the rest of his life.

Handsome's middle name is Stranger. Named after his dad

Even with Michigan-related content, that was the most overreaching, boring article I've ever read. I literally died at my keyboard and had to be resuscitated.
Thank you for sharing it though. /non s

I weep for you that you do not derive pleasure from just looking at and contemplating magnificent names like Hamp Cheevers and Divine Deablo.

Yeah, I think this was me being up until 2:30 am working last night.
Totally a "grumpy" thing. I got what I deserved.
January 28th, 2016 at 10:30 AM ^
I don't care if he is a 1 star talent...that is a next level name.
January 28th, 2016 at 11:13 AM ^
I'm sad that Divine Deablo is going to be a VaTech Hokie and not a Wake Forest Demon Deacon.

All great potential name ideas for our friend Detwolverine2009 who is expecting in May. Who needs a michigan based name when you can name your child "Ralphlauren" or "Lil'Jordan" or many of the other gems in here?

Truly awful set of names in there. I do not want to be that kind of parent. I just want to be one who names after past greats of Michigan lore.

Gold Woodley anyone?

Found this humorous:
Brodarious Hamm is both an Auburn commit and how Rob Gronkowski describes good meat.
January 28th, 2016 at 3:06 PM ^
Brodarious Tata would be mega gold

If Jake Butt has a brother named Armin who plays football, he will be the greatest named football player of all time...

If his parents are big J.D. Salinger fans and name a sib, "Holden."

Corporate magnate Armand Hammer had the perfect handle for a linebacker.

I would love to hear Keith Jackson call Brodarious Hamm

There were some good ones in there, made more amusing by the fact that someone, somewhere and playing football lives with these names:
Ralphlauren McCauley
Dude Donaldson
Jango Glackin (because why not?)
Ronald Cherry (yes, because of the "givin' him the business" connection)
Dakota Cru Birdyshaw
Dredrick Snelson (nice, just nice)

"If you spell either name backwards, it comes back as "MURDER"." haha love it.

Pie Young is a pretty good name

Here's a good article about McDoom's commitment in today's Orlando Sentinel.
Quoted from the article:
The Wolverines perserverance paid off Monday night, when McDoom committed silently to Michigan and new head coach Jim Harbaugh while the coach was visiting the school. Harbaugh even made a surprise appearance as guest speaker at the West Orange football banquet Monday night.
'It really caught everyone off guard," McDoom said of Harbaugh's appearance. "Nobody knew and he just kinda showed up. Everybody was like, 'Whoa, Coach Harbaugh is here.'"
Classic Harbaugh sneak attack!
