Going cheap tonight - there is a bottle of white Merlot in the fridge that no one ever managed to consume, possibly from the holidays, and I suppose now is as good a time as any. It's not the best, but it does serve as a bracer for the basketball game and whatever might come after that. If I run out of that, there is always the beer on the porch.

Dessert after NY strip on the Weber charcoal, scallops, and creamed spinach. Best dinner in quite some time...Excited about the OT from Wisconsin. As many have mentioned in other threads, if they want on OL guy, we should want him too.

I live in NYC.  On the way home tonight I get off the express train before walking home I turn to see if there is a local coming.  Instead, I see my last girlfriend walking toward me, about 20ft away.

I stared at my phone immediately.  She passed by without either noticing me, or if she did without saying a word.

She may have bought this bottle for me.  This is to her.

since my last sip of Bell's Two Hearted, ending a 14-hour marathon of fishing and drinking up here in Baldwin. Caught nothing myself but a potential hangover,, but some of the other drunk fishermen did well, biggest pike of the day a 28-incher...then poured down a few at Ski's Tavern. Moar fishin tomorrow!
