Saturday Night Bebida Mucho Thread

Slow day on the board. I am currently finishing my third vodka-lemonade to be followed by a four pack of Odell Tree Shaker. Drink up, be merry.

Just got back from Portuguese barbecue at a popular churrascaria on Long Island, I feel like I'm wearing a meat sweater from my epiglottis to my sphincter. And I am enjoying a very nice Vacqueyras, Le Couroulu, and reading Richard Ford's latest.

As we had fish and rice tonight, my wife and I are apparently going to see where half a magnum of pinot grigio goes after a long day of home improvement projects and, of course, the impending celebration of Mother's Day here. The kids have promised - promised, mind you - that they will help make the lasagna this time, as that was the requested dinner. A nice chianti may accompany that, I think.

"Home improvement" is a never-ending game. I want "home done," "home finished and it's f-ing perfect." My girl and I bought a 90-year old tudor last summer that we're renovating, it was completely original (and neglected). I'm exhausted. She thinks if's fun, but she didn't have to plumb the new door jambs in a old brick wall this morning.

iirc it's an irregular verb.   bebida can be the noun form, meaning simply 'drink'. like, 'can i have a drink', but i think it might also be the past (pluperfect?) form of the verb too, so it can be 'i drank'.   living in cal, you know what mucho means.   'i drank alot'.  i apologize if this isn't spot on, but it has been just shy of 40 years since my last spanish class...

Not bad.  Bebida is a noun ("a drink").  The participle is bebido, which when used with the auxilary verb haber can be used to describe a past action:  Ya he bebido demasiado = I have already drunk too much.

I've had both before but for the first time I bought them at the same time so I could do a taste test.  I like the chocolatey taste and creamer feel of the Stout.
