Sam Webb on Bush and Walker.....

Submitted by MichiganAlum2014 on

So Sam Webb did an update around 11:35 tonight on Scout.com and his gut still thinks Michigan leads for Bush and that Michigan lands him from his sources very close to the situation. When it comes to Walker though, he thinks FSU has really closed the gap and he cant put a gut feeling on that call, though he still thinks Michigan leads for Walker too. Needless to say, these next two days are going to give me extreme anxiety. Here's to hoping we get both!! Fingers crossed!

State vs. State argument are ridiculous. Sure California is probably the most sought-after to live in state in the country, doesn't take a genius to come to that conclusion. But comparing the whole state of California to the whole state of Florida is asinine. There's parts of Florida that are beautiful and very nice places to live and work (mostly by the water like you said, but except for Orlando and in the panhandle most all of the population density is around the coasts so your comment there was rather obvious) just like California has a lot of beautiful places to live and work as well. There's also a ton of places in Florida and California that I wouldn't touch with a 39 1/2 foot pole. It depends exactly where you're at in the state, furthermore down to the neighborhood almost. I hate when people argue state versus state because there's nice enough areas in any state if you have the money where it's a wonderful place to live. Also I can't believe you have a bug hate thing living in Michigan for a time, as I dealt with more bugs in 3 months in Michigan per year easily than I do in 2-3 full warm weather years in Florida.

Considering there's no way to break it down by neighborhood, I think it's feasible to compare states. And sure, the nicest neighborhood in FL will be nicer than the worst in CA. But on the whole, there's a big difference. And yeah, I hate bugs. Growing up in Michigan everyone bitches about it but I just thought that was a part of life. Now I've gone 8 years without a bug bite and I think that's pretty cool.

Seriously, I hate these waiting games.... UofM needs both of these players to make this class that much better. In NCAA 14, I would have had both of these guys already.

Honestly, no matter who these two announce for this week the other school(s) will not stop recruiting them. We're only 1/2 way through this movie. Grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

He basically said "check out the Michigan Insider" for more about recruiting.

What is his job anyway?  Does he work at WTKA for free?  Because if I was the station manager I'm not sure how fond I would be of my on air talent constantly telling listeners to go to a different media platform to get content that they tuned into my station to get.

I think the WTKA management knows that the Morning Insider gets by far the highest ratings of any of their programming aside from Michigan game broadcasts, and relatively few people are going to turn off the radio and go to Scout before Sam's show is over at 10.

If the Morning Insider were taken off the air, there would be literally no reason to listen to WTKA aside from game broadcasts. The rest of its programming is unlistenable sports drivel, from CBS to Rome to Huge.

On Walker, I don't get Webb's worry about FSU so much.  The 247 predictors barely have FSU registering.  2nd place is 'bama and most of those predictors are OSU guys (so take that with a barrel of salt).

I have always thought, from day 1, that Bush Jr. did an exceptional job of getting 2 of his teamates great scholarship offers, but knew where he was going to go from day 1.  I never thought for a second he would go anywhere but FSU.  Will be shocked if he picks Michigan.

Im not a big fan of letting Reese go either.  I really liked his game and IMO he reminds me somewhat of a young David Harris.  Love his size.  Not overly crazy going hard after 5'11" LBs.  What will a very good OL and punishing RBs (like Wiscy) do to these guys?

IMO, i would buy the house next to Dontavious Jackson, and plant a coach there 24/7 and recruit him like he is the holy grail of LBs.

I read somewhere that Schiano is reaching out to Gary since he was the first person to offer him a scholarship when he coached Rutgers.  And Larry Johnson visited him as well.  Hopefully that ship has still sailed.

Yeah, I'd love to hear his recruiting pitch.

"Well, since I last talked to you I coached in the NFL and bombed.  Everyone hated me and I got fired.  Then I was out of a job for 2 years even though many, many head coaching jobs were available.  Now I'm at Ohio State as a DC because I'm desperate as hell.  How about you come make me look good for a year or two and as soon as I get an offer to be a HC I'm out the door.  How does that sound?"

Am I crazy to think Kingston David has far more Talent than Walker?

After watching both of their tapes I feel like they both had solid vision and power, Davis just looks like he has superior speed and (70% of the time) better cuts.
