Let the meltdown on this board continue...

We're in hell right now, gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Interesting decision and wasn't expecting it.
Best of luck to him at Oklahoma.
On another note are all these other team sending "hostesses" around at the 11th hour? or is this just the stretch of luck that makes me load an earlier save in NCAA to try to salvage things?

Hostesses are too expensive in this economy.
Hostess Cupcakes, on the other hand...

Uhh. Riiiiight.

The funny thing is the lack of knowledge some of you have in regards to this recruiting process. We missed out on the past four kids. Now the world is ending to many. Agh, what will become of us without these four 18 year olds?! I'm fairly confident in saying that 1-2 of them might be very good. The others will be average college players. It happens every year. Some 4-5 stars disappear, and other 3 star kids shine. Let's try to grow up a little bit and have some perspective of the great class we have.

<br>One year ago our program was in shambles. Now we just won a BCS game and brought in a top ten recruiting class. It makes sense that now people are panicking over the past few days. Wait, no it doesn't.

I posted this in another thread, but this is just to maybe settle things down after a rough last 3 days.

We will be fine its arguably one of the best classes since the Carr era. Yes a bad weekend and Monday, but hopefully we will get some good news on Feb. 3rd.

EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. Just look at the QB position!
January 30th, 2012 at 12:56 PM ^
but all of you people telling everyone to calm down must see how frustrating it is to finish in 2nd place with 4 straight recruits within the last week. Garnett? 2nd. Reeves? 2nd. Kozan? 2nd. Grant? 2nd. It's like getting shutout in a coin-flipping competition
January 30th, 2012 at 1:12 PM ^
Also frustrating is the fact that what has transpired after our 11 win season, including a Suagr Bowl victory. Pharaoh Brown and Caleb Stacey decommit. We have lost 4 recruits in a row to other schools.
With that being said, is this still a good class? YES. Will we likely sign a couple more kids? YES. BUT, for those of you saying this isnt a big deal, or to calm down, look at the facts. This is an awful way to close out a class. I really dont know how anyone could argue that. I understood the Garnett and Reeves going elsewhere, but the Grant to OK was just a kick in the balls.

You are right. The only appropriate reaction is to panic then double post.

It's like getting shut out in a coin-flipping contest...after you've won a bunch of coin-flipping matches.

It's very frustrating. It's also making the loss of Grant much more painful than it really is. He's an average 3* TE and the only reason he got a few big schools coming at him late was because of severe depth issues. Garnett and Reeves both sting, but Grant is no big loss. He's very limited athletically, just like some folks pointed out on this board.

You can say it's sour grapes if you want - but from the first time I saw his film I thought borderline Big 10 talent. Pharoah Brown on the other hand...
All will be well in the end. Good luck to all these young men.
January 30th, 2012 at 2:32 PM ^
Agreed. He's a marginal talent. The 3-star rating is spot-on.
January 30th, 2012 at 1:42 PM ^
This class isn't even going to make up the three spots made available since Brown, Stacey and Standifer decommitted.
That's incredible.
January 30th, 2012 at 1:48 PM ^
This is disappointing, but people need to chill. Seriously. We still have a great class.

Can anybody tell me how many sacks did Garnett give up this year or how many pancakes did he make. Can someone tell me how many pass break-ups or interceptions did Armani Reeves make. Is Grant a better receiver than blocker? How about Alex Kozan playing center how many times did he over snap the ball over the qb's head. How many balls did Pharoah Brown catch? What i am saying is this: we don't know anything thing about these KIDS so why are we panicking about 4 kids picking other schools. Look at the bright side, we have retakened the state of Michigan, we have reclaimed our keys in Ohio. We need to get into Texas, Cali, and Florida then we will have a top ten recruiting class every year.
