Sam and Ira speaking at Alumni Scholarship Dinner

Submitted by Michigan Eaglet on

For those of you that didn't get the alumni email that was sent out, I figured there would be some interest here (and it's also open to non-alunmi). There is an annual scholarship fundraiser dinner and silent auction being put on by the U of M Alumni Association of Greater Northville with Sam and Ira as the speakers next Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:30 PM in Plymouth.

According to the link below "Sam and Ira will share their take on what to look forward to for both the basketball and football teams." The silent auction includes U of M memorabilia and other items. As this is the height of off-season and there won't be a lot of substantial football info coming out until camp, this might be perfect opportunity to get your football and basketball fix (while also supporting a good cause for scholarships for incoming freshman).

For those of you wondering if this group is just in Nothville, the site says this part of the alumni association covers "Western Wayne and Western Oakland Counties including: Canton, Commerce Township, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Highland, Livonia, Milford, New Hudson, Northville, Novi, Plymouth, Salem, Walled Lake, Westland, White Lake and Wixom", and I know they have had events outside that area, such as Royal Oak, as well.

The Downriver Alumni Association has just one event on its calendar right now, I think, and it is a Tigers game in July. We need to pick it up, I guess. Maybe we can get Sam and Ira to give the same chat but at Sneaky's in Woodhaven?
