Interesting that Saban used the pitch that they "need running backs" because Trent Richardson is a senior and Ingram's leaving. But what about the other four and five star running backs they've signed in the past few classes (1 5-star, 3 4-star, and 1 3-star) plus Dee Hart in this class.

Just another example of Saban going for the next great player at the expense of another player he probably said the same thing to a few years earlier. I don't want to hate on Dee because he probably felt that this was the best decision for him, and I wish him luck (except on that one 2012 Saturday in Dallas), but it's hard for me to see how these kids keep falling for it. Sure, some do make the cut and play for an outstanding team, but the ones that don't are left behind.

Sorry, just a little 1 a.m. rant. Been a frustrating recruiting day.

what gets me is how this is a secondary violation and missing practice by a few minutes a week is a major violation.  In the first case, Saban is openly giving the NCAA the middle finger and establishing a major competitive advantage, in the second case, RRod misinterprets (or unprovably purposely misinterpreted) the practice rule so that it does not include stretching.

it means the world hates Michigan. Angry NCAA Violations Hating God is protecting everything pertaining to the SEC, is fair but tardy towards USC, and hates Rich Rodriguez. It also appears to read the Detroit Free Press, FWIW.

The definition of major and minor violation by the NCAA is a complete joke.  You can commit multiple secondary or minor violations that can help you land a commit, but if you over stretch you get put on probation.

Saban is exhibiting quite a bit of hubris, here. He's begging for an investigation, and messing with OkSt's golden child is one way to get another school to take the blinders off.

What will it take to get the NCAA's bullseye painted on his back? Seems like he's related to Bo and Luke Duke...always one step ahead of the law.

Did anyone else notice the picture in the article? Is that kid on a four wheeled bike (quadcycle)? I can't imagine a high school football player riding that around school.
