How does one hurt just one finger in the weight room?
Ask Carlos Brown.
across the country. Most of them are probably pretty minor, but smashed fingers would hardly be unexpected, esp. with the amount of weight being hoisted around.
* been trying to post comments at the Oatbran of online news, so far without success. First-rate blog, though.
Yeah...I smashed my finger setting down a dumbbell a few days ago.
Thanks for reading my blog and the compliment. I'm not sure why you can't comment, though... I'll check into that.
I also had a problem a couple of days ago.
Yeah, but all that required was some antibiotics and a topical cream. We're talking about smashed fingers here.
Touche
Yeah, I'd say for a quarterback, it would definitely affect his touch on the ball.
Genesis?
Album cover.
I smashed a finger between dumbells doing flies. I wasn't paying enough attention when i brought them together, missed, and hit the handle with the opposite weight. That hurt!
injures?
fat fingers. corrected
Ask Carlos Brown.
[Edit: Magnus beat me to it. Almost hivemind.]
ummm. Easily. This is not news to Michigan, for two reasons - C. Brown (see above) and we really should not care what Mallet does, did, or will do, unless we at some point play Arkansas. Mallet = does not apply to Michigan.
this is true (trust me, I'm a doctor):
when you jam your finger (head-on) as would happen when you catch a ball with your finger extended, this can cause an injury to the tendon that extends the tip of your finger.
this problem is called a Mallet finger
just saying, it would be ironic.
I have three of them, all from the past six months. It is a severe pain in the ass, I can no longer make fists w/ either hand now. One was from a door slamming into the tip of my pinky, the other two from a dirtbike accident.
He hurt that finger cracking a can of Natty Ice light before hitting the bench press.
just have to say - love "EzehDoesit" as avatar. Not quite as creative as "blueblueblue", but great nonetheless.
EASY
He fumbled the weights, duh.
ZING
I know he didn't hurt his finger tucking the ball in. Every time he scrambled, Christ, holding it all out there to be swiped. Back and forth with each stride. Yelling at the tv "Tuck it in you stupid !*$$!!!
Arkansas strength and conditioning focuses mainly on the extremities of the body. fingers/toes, also ears, chin, and cankles. so i've heard.
he was trying to show off by opening a beer bottle with his fingers....apparently he can't
anyone remember Carlos Brown? I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.
