Rutgers expects to go 10-2

Submitted by Decatur Jack on

So I came across the wikipedia page for Rutgers' 2016 team, and apparently someone edited it to say that they win every reg season game (including Michigan) except Iowa and Ohio State, and they finish at No. 16 in the polls. Rutgers fans be confident, yo.

I screencap'd it here so y'all could see:

And here's the wikipedia page for as long as the edit stays as is:

Frankly, I think this is hilarious. Maybe it's not worth the board's time and I'm about to get negbanged to Bolivia, but it gave me a chuckle and I wanted to share it before someone took the edit down. Hey, maybe Brian can use it as some humor/snark material for UV.

You know, I sort of have to hand it to Rutgers for being as energetic as they seem to be for this upcoming season. It means a fresh start, a new perspective and thus finding innovative ways to reach that 7-5 plateau by the 7th season of Ash's time at the helm, assuming they give him that long and Greg Schiano doesn't beg for his old job back or something. Every day, a little up. as they like to say in Continuous Improvement circles, or indeed at Rutgers, every day, a lot of uppers....also some stolen rims apparently.

I think they got the numbers switched up. 2-10 is far more likely than 10-2. And considering that this prediction involves Rutgers making the BTT game against OSU (a team from within its own division), an Indiana team ranked # 17, and a ranked Maryland team, I'm not sure how seriously this is meant to be taken.

Good luck winning 4-5 games next year, fellas.

Much like I say whenever a client mentions timing goals for installing a new tech system(never to their face). That is so cute. They're so adorable when they're hopeful.

I CONFIDENTLY predicted we'd go 10-3 in 2014 with narrow losses to ND, MSU & OSU but with a big New Years Day bowl win over an SEC team and that Hoke's fourth year would find us ranked inside the top 10 when the season was over.

So I guess everybody was laughing at me two years ago.  It's tough to be an unbiased fan.

has been edited for Rutgers to go 8-3 with the game at Washington cancelled (?) but they beat UM 1,800,000 - 4.

Oh Rutgers fans, you're always good for a laugh

to realize if they're any good or not.

By October 9, it should be abundantly clear that 10-2 ain't happening in 2016
