I am sorry you missed it.  I was 14 years old and they went to commercial break right before he shot them.  It was an amazing run in the first place and to then see him, shaq-like from the stripe, sink the two free throws.  It was just like Ollie out of Hoosiers...except that he didn't shoot them underhanded.

I think the most depressing part about this situation is how arrogant he acted during the segment on Outside the Lines earlier this weekend (Friday?). Clearly showed no remorse whatsoever for anything that he did, and basically threw his adopted mother under the bus. Basically sounded like he had disowned her after all she did to raise him by taking him off the streets of Cambridge, Mass.

He was featured on ESPN OTL the other day (in conjuction with the coaching search).  Dude wasn't at all remorseful for what happened to his mom.  He talked as if it were her fault for being too stupid to see something like to coming.  It was shameful.

Watching Rumeal hit those 2 free throws to give us a national championship was a cherished childhood memory.  Now look where he is.

I'm so sick of crappy things happening.  Can we PLEASE get some good news?

He's no longer the guy I knew in college and it's so sad to see how far he's fallen...but that OTL was embarrassing. No remorse no willingness to accept responsibility for his actions.

I loved watching him as a player, but really.. it sounds like he even turned on his mom. So sad.. I hope he can turn it around and be productive post-time away.

I guess  this is the first time a um basketball player has been punished for taking cash.

About 20 years to late though.

He could hope for a convienent death to get him out of it.  Worked once for you guys....ie Ed Martin.

The complete lack of remorse shows that he's basically a sociopath, and before long he'll try to screw somebody who won't take it passively.

The world will be a better place when he's in the ground.
