Some guys might just want the excitement of faxing in their letter on signing day tonlewve people in suspense or maybe he told Harbaugh he's coming and he's content with that. There's no mandate that everyone has to tell the world where they're going. Collins' was so pro-Michigan for so long and all of a sudden it's quiet but everyone remains suspiciously confident (or as Brian would put it "no one is sure who's in second"). Sort of points to a silent commitment

I'll just put this here rather than starting a new thread: after Jake Ryan, who is the best linebacker in the post Carr era? Mcray maybe? Am I missing someone? I can't even think of another who made the league. Seems like that group has been especially weak.

I'm optimistic and hope the new group plus bush can get us back to having some heavy artilary back there.

Brown had a good final year at UM.  Before that, he struggled as a position player after having been a special teams stalwart.  (Remember when, as a safety, he took a disastrous angle to the ball carrier in The Horror, resulting in a TD.)

starting at LB, I might hold off on that guess. Might go with Desmond Morgan or Obi Ezeh? Obi was very solid and didn't allow a lot of yards after contact. Morgan didn't make all the right reads but seemed steady and made some pretty spectacular INTs for a LB.

I do agree this position has been underwhelming and I'm glad we're picking up what seem to be more highly touted LBs lately.

Well after... Jarrett Irons Sam Steele Ian Gold Dhani Jones Prescott Burgess Victor Hobson Davis Harris Larry Foote That's just off the top of my head. Lloyd pumped out some awesome talent at lb. It looks like Harbaugh will do the same.

Which is what got me thinking about the question.  Seemed like we always had great LBs in the Carr era. Hoke had a class that was pretty heralded but didn't amount to much. We all know why. This class will surpass that one in hype and results, I am sure.

Such poor position evaluation with him by Carr. I can still remember him getting torched repeatedly vs Tennessee. Then he switches to LB and lights it up in the NFL.

Landing the #1 recruit two years in a row would be epic.

I believe getting super high profile recruits has a way of snowballing.

Harris would be huge for the splash it makes. That stuff matters more these days than before.

If we start landing top 10 players routinely - watch out!

I get what guys are saying and I agree. Does Harris close the deal for filiaga and Solomon? Maybe. My point on why filiaga and Solomon are the most important is based on our roster makeup. We are so thin on depth and talent at DT and tackle. Both those guys are in the 2 deep when they walk on campus. I follow bama very closely, they are my second favorite team, no one thinks Harris is going to flip or is even concerned really. Of course, they don't need him I guess.
