RR is a reasonable guy
One thing that sticks out about RR is that he's very down to earth, straight forward, and will address things like it is. If there's any angst or unease regarding Tate or any of the other players, I'm sure he'll address them directly and make things right. RR will smooth things over, if there even is anything to smooth over, hopefully very soon.

Tate Forcier is a 17 year old true freshman. Rodriguez doesn't need to explain anything to him, one wouldn't think. Whatever moves he makes, they are moves designed to make the team better. None of his players really have a right to question that. That being said, I agree with your point and I'm sure RR is taking the necessary steps to do whatever he can to keep the team working as a cohesive unit.
...that there are additional steps that need to be taken due to this situation than necessary. If Tate's coaches have called him and said "we haven't offered him a scholarship, just a chance to compete," well, I don't see Paulus' situation or status on the Michigan team as any different than that of Nader Furrha or Jack Kennedy - a walk-on trying to earn a scholarship.
Would we all rather have Jason Forcier on loan for one year? Seeing as how this would've been his starting job anyways had he not been chased off by MalletSaurusRex.
...because we may get both Paulus and Jason Forcier. Regardless, Tate and Denard are getting the snaps this fall, unless one redshirts (which is my preference).
Seeing as how the real contingency plan seems to be Devin Gardner I don't think either will redshirt. My guess is they keep both, redshirt Devin a year, and then we get four years of the Tate/Denard monster and two with Devin.
....I'm not sure what the best option is. Well, the best option would be to have both Tate and Denard redshirt, but that's not going to happen. What is most important is to allow Devin to redshirt and let him develop, because that would have the QB situation at Michigan set at least until 2013.
Devin + whichever other QB we get in this class. But Devin will be the guy.
...I hope Devin is the guy in 2012. But, if someone else comes in and beats him out, it'll be proof we have a pretty good situation brewing at QB.

If there is one talent that I wish RR could learn from LC is to lock the fort DOWN! I just don’t remember (maybe it’s selective memory) LC having the issue of having the business of the team constantly in the street.
I don't think RR is to blame for this getting aired publicly, that is mostly on Paulus and Tate. But then again, RR should be able to keep at least Tate in check.

If we were going into Tate's second yr, we prob wouldn't even look at Paulus because we would have more QBs. RR wants alot of QBs,. If tate is hurt, that leaves us with just Denard. Which becomes a very conservative offense yano? Which causes RR to get fired because we prob wont be very good.
If RR gets fired, I'm going to be sooo pissed. Even if this becomes a 7 win season and he gets fired. Because I know hes bringing in alottttt of talent. And whoever our next coach would be, would get alllllll the credit RR did. I want to see 3 years minimum of him. But, why am I tlaking about him gettingfired? He won't. We will be a 9-10 win team this year. Capital one bowl.
