Rivals Expert Commit Predictions for 2009
Some Rivals experts are predicting where some of the top players will be committing to. http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=880&CID=901193
I am a little bit surprised to see Mantei Tei'o predicted to committing to BYU, my ignorance lead me to assume he will choose USC because of their history of having successful Polynesian middle linebackers there.

Just so I don't start another thread, if anyone doesn't know it yet, Florida has had three decommitments around the time of, and since they won the national championship which to me just shows that kids can be kids and the whole decommitment trend at UM has been blown out of proportion a little IMO. Please feel free to disagree as that is just my opinion.

That's interesting news. Seems the decommitment thing is not isolated to Ann Arbor. Although many will disagree with that statement just to twist the knife in Rodriguez's back a little more.

When it happens to other schools, that means that their coach has a secret plan to replace them with even better players. On the other hand, when it happens to us it means we screwed up.

People are just realizing that the spread is dead.

if BYU lands manti te'o and xavier su'a filo, they've got to be the mid-major team with the best recruiting class. they've already recruited better than a lot of big 6 schools

Te'o is LDS, that's why BYU is a heavy player for him and considered by some to be the favorite.

Sedesio,
I saw an interview with someone the other day (Utah's HC, maybe?) who mentioned the large Polynesian tradition/recruiting base in Utah. It took me completely by surprise so it stuck out. After a little research I found some info here about the population:

There's even a BYU campus in Hawaii

Yeah, Te'o has openly talked about wanting to do his mission - not sure USC would really be down with that. Par for the course at BYU on the other hand.
Can't wait for the word from Morgan Moses though. Adding him would make this the best UVA class since 2005, easy.

That makes a lot of sense, especially after reading the above article. Good for him then for following his religion and being what seems like a good kid.
