Rivals 250 Breakdown for 2013
Yesterday I broke down the Rivals 100 and today I broke down the Rivals 250. I only wrote about players who share a strong mutual interest with Michigan, and I talked about what Michigan's chances are based off what I have heard. There are about ten guys that I believe Michigan is either the outright leader or one of the leaders for. Rivals250 Breakdown

I've stated this before, but LTT (as the Mgoblog community says) will be a Wolverine. There is a proximity factor in this, but a recruit doesn't visit a school three times in a short time, if he isn't pretty damn sure about that school. I get the feeling he can't get enough of the campus and the staff, but he doesn't want to commit anytime soon, because he honestly wants to take his visits. Have you guys ever driven through the part of Illinois he's from? I'd want to see more of the country too.

Damn I hope your right

But being from the podunk city of Cullman, Alabama, I know a thing or two about places you don't want to live.

Are fans/recruits in the state half Bama fans, half Auburn fans? Do the schools split the state recruits like say FL, FL St, and Miami? Or is it like UM/MSU, where UM gets most of the top recruits every year?

I am from Atlanta, with friends from both schools.

Jordan Diamond visited something like six times and had a former teammate already here. I think most of us thought of him as a lock for most of the summer....it is just too soon to for me to begin specualting again....just too soon

But Jordan Diamond NEVER publicly stated Michigan was his favorite. I just read a great synopsis of his recruitment, and he was always pretty close to the vest. LTT has said many times that Michigan is his top school, joined by Alabama.

The difference, is that he said michigan was his favorite childhood team, not the favorite for his signature.

You forgot to log out and reply with your other name. Oops

See, you don't look as crazy when people can't tell you are actually just talking to yourself.

It's a long way to go with LTT, and I can see the parallel to Diamond. Time will only tell. I though Diamond was all Blue for a while, but as soon as we landed Kalis and then Diamond's mom gave that interview where she said she was worried about the compatition, the back of my mind said we were done. I know Jordan said he wasn't worried about that, and prehaps he really wasn'. But when a parent comes out and publicly says something like that, it just doesn't look good. Maybe it was just me.

Isn't he going to have strong competition at any big school? I don't get it. Weren't he and Kalis going to play different positions? I don't think that can be the real reason. Good luck to him though.

Bottom line that guy was interested in "academics" and then committed to Auburn. Nuf said.

IIRC... Diamond took a number of early visits here. He does have a former teammate here, but that didn't end up as hoped.
I still like your thinking with LTT, and had (optimistically) thought the same thing myself.

IIRC, Diamond made a number of relatively early visits. He did have a former team mate here to visit, but that didn't turn out as we'd hoped.
Still, I'd (optimistically) had some similar thoughts regarding LTT. We'll see... (keeps fingers crossed awkwardly for the next 11.5 months)

I live 30 miles from where he goes to school and I don't think that it's as bad as what you are saying

I hope that you're right, but that SEC payola can be extremely powerful.

seems like a TON of the top 250 like Michigan a lot. Even if we get a quarter of these guys we'll have a top 3 class. Great to see the hype. I sense this Alabama game could be worth A LOT more than just a win or loss.
