For people wondering why Jake Butt agreed to this - refusing to do it as a point of pride would be a really really great way to get all the vets in the Denver locker room to make his rookie year a living hell from August to August.

I just looked him up, and the guy has had 9 career receptions in 3 years. He might want to focus more on being a part of the offense and not shaving people's heads.

To be fair, Heuerman has had a pretty significant string of injuries since turning pro.

Heuerman tore his ACL during the Broncos' rookie minicamp and had to sit out the whole 2015 season. Then he pulled his hamstring during training camp the next year, and then had a high ankle sprain right before the 2016 season started. By the time Heuerman actually got on the field he was way behind in reps/experience compared to Virgil Green.
