Catchafire opened on Sept 1 with a revenge tour thread...I went back and reread the comments...except for the ND flub, we’re back on track.

Not many similarities between last Saturday's game and this coming one. Hornibrook had a legit RB, Lewerke does not, especially if LJ remains <100%. As we saw, Hornibrook is not exactly a clone of Fran Tarkenton (anybody remember him?) whereas Lewerke can and will scramble and run. He can also connect with his receivers as he did against PSU, but M's D-secondary will be the best he'll face all season, and with every game PSU is to be less and less feared. The M pass rush will be the most relentless Lewerke will face all season. MSU's D-line and LBs will be as good as any M has faced, and that defense will be the M O-line's sternest test thus far.
But given that M's D is at the top of its game --- especially with about everyone on the D-line close to completely healthy (com'on Rashan!) and with M fielding a true QB after two seasons without a real one, I like our chances. Go Blue!

If M's interior DL can compress the pocket while containing scrambles MSU will have a long night of getting sacked on on offense. If not, their QB will get some substantial yards.
This is a game where Hurst will be missed. Hopefully Aubrey is full go without any slowdown due to being out.

All through Hate Week, I will be watching 300. Not because of the glory of the spartans, but because the movie end with all the sparties dead. They lost. Love that movie.

Yea, the last time we had a "revenge tour" was 2006 and we still lost to OSU and USC in the Rose Bowl. Didn't work out too great, so how about Chase stops talking shit until we actually win something.
Why can't we just once, flip the script on MSU? I would love for Harbaugh and our players to play the #DISRESPEKT card, saying how MSU doesn't respect us, and we're sick of how no one gives us a chance, and we thrive on being underdogs, especially on the road. This would mind fuck Dantanio at his own game, and maybe our players would actually believe it.
This is the perfect scenario for State to upset us, yet again. The balls he displayed against PSU scares me. Hopefully he used all his magic in Happy Valley, but Mork always have a few tricks up his sleeve for us.
All the national media isn't helping either, so it would be refreshing for our players to keep their heads down and super focused. Put the chip on our shoulder, where it rightfully should be. I want us to be angry. Quiet angry, salivating angry, "watch me on the field" angry.
This game is going to take a few years off my life. It will be a slug fest through 4 quarters, and I think Shea's passing is the key. Felton Davis will get his catches and TDs, so we need creative playcalling and a balls out approach to winning. The new packages with McCaffery and Milton give me hope.

I long for the days when I was ambivalent toward MSU. I didn't care if they won/lost and I cheered for them if they weren't playing us. But their seething hatred of us is just creepy. Plus they embarrass me by being a Michigan school. They are bad winners and bad losers, and even if they won a championship they would still never be champions because they are too busy being petty. I recently saw the 'history of systemic disrespect' article about how we tried to kill off their very existence as a school ... like, do they teach that at orientation over there? They should swap it out for a class on consent and the meaning of 'no.'
MSU. Petty little green and white bits of rage emasculated by their fear of disrespect. And The Team The Team The Team is going to disrespect the living crap out of them on Saturday. Hail!!
