Restaurants in Ann Arbor -- Why isn't there a Brady's?

Submitted by DCBlue on
As we were hanging out in Ann Arbor this weekend for the Notre Dame Game, I got to wondering why there aren't any establishments owned by and named after Michigan's contingent of NFL stars. I think Eddie George has a place in Columbus, and I'm wondering why there aren't similar places in Ann Arbor. I'd give up the law profession to manage Brady's. I think there's even some real estate available on Main Street.

If a bunch of athletes got together they could easily do this....Planet Hollywood/Hard Rock but with M gear and memoirabilia. It could be done easily. Coner could have his first live performance their!!!!!

I wasn't talking about the food. I was talking walls and decor. I don't usually like the cutesy names the give food at those restaurant though. But a 'Bo Burger' or something to that fact sounds sooo much better than the Planet Hollywood BS.....Garrett Rivas should have a giant plate of fried food named after him.

A player who is already retired, like Eddie George. Is Griese retired yet? He could buy the lot that Scorekeepers was on, making sure to commemorate the time he broke the window with a chair!

While the idea of a former player owning an M-themed restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor makes a ton of sense, it is by no means a slam dunk. For example, if Mike Boren and his kids were to open a pizza place somewhere on Main Street, they might have a tough time making a go of it.
