Reminder: FREE Michigan softball game tonight (WED) at 6PM against MSU. Also, I made a website previewing next season's team.

The game is at Alumni Field and admission is free.

Link to the website is below. I wanted to post it before the game tonight with enough notice that people could get there on time, so it's a bit rushed, but should work fine and hopefully you'll get the gist (if it doesn't, try Chrome/Chromium). Works better on a desktop monitor.

Thanks! Some of the players were sort of bodged at the last minute as I wanted to get this up today, so I'll definitely rewrite a bit of it. As far as updates, I'll probably flesh it out and maybe add in features just before the season starts and repost it then.

Mainly I just want to give people an opportunity to learn more about the team and players.

That website looks terriffic, nice work! That depth chart looks pretty solid to me.  The outfield and middle infield seem pretty locked up with Christner-Lawrence-Susalla and Ramriez-Romero.  Monte vs. Swearingen could be an interesting position battle at 3rd base.  Monte plays better defense but Swearingen has a lot more offensive potential.

Thanks for the reminder & for putting together an awesome website!  I'll still do my usual season preview when the time comes, since I figure we've got two pretty different projects.  I love the interactive/dynamic thing your website has going on, my stuff being in a more traditional mold.  I'll definitely be referencing your site (with due credit given, of course!).

As for tonight's game, looks like a pretty thorough drubbing, as anticipated.  The defense couldn't stay perfect forever, but the O is still killing it.  Looks like the damage is coming from a variety of sources, both familiar & new.  Going to be so much fun watching all the position battles going on this year.  The big challenge for the coaching staff will be identifying who gives us the best chance to win while maintaining team chemistry in a situation where there just won't be enough innings to go around.  Good problems to have!

I had planned on going but I had a meeting that ran late.

Nice website.  Although I think we are stronger this year compared to last year.  Sara is healthy and Megan is a year older (wiser).  Tera will have a better year.  The only question is whether Romo can produce like last year.  It will be difficult for her to repeat those gawdy numbers.

Romo went 3-3 with a home run. Freshman Faith Canfield homered as well. Two MSU runs were scored in the same half inning against Driesenga. Blanco obviously allowed no runs. Lots of freshmen and reserves played and pretty much everyone did well except Christner, weirdly, who struck out all three times.

Softball twitter account has some periscope videos posted of full half innings if you're interested in that.

Edit: at least she's handling it well...lol
