Refs for Minnesota Game

Submitted by Marley Nowell on
Does anyone have any information on who the refs are going to be for the Minnesota game. I would hate to not make the tourney because of factors out of Michigan's control.

You do realize that nobody claims that Michigan is being reffed by biased refs, right? Just that the overall quality of Big 10 refs are poor, and that poor refs generally call things for the home team (see: Chris Kramer getting raped by LLP without a whistle)?

Everyone knows that the refs hate Michigan. In every sport. And so does the media. And Tressel is a cheater. And Little Brother is a whiny bitch we don't have a rivalry with because they never beat us. And there need to be night games at the Big House. And Tate can throw the ball 120 yards... from his knees. And Marvin Robinson is silently committed. And Ricardo Miller will win at least 3 Heismans because he is a true Michigan Man. Didn't you know that already?

The Big Ten tries to keep this a guarded secret, to prevent gamblers from having an unfair edge with regards to the Over/Under especially. Obviously less of a problem in the NCAA rather the NBA. But referees have a tendency to call a higher scoring or lower scoring game. Gamblers pay big money for this information. This is part of what got Tim Donaghy in trouble. That and the fixing of games. He was letting certain people know which games he was doing along with assignments of other refs. So the gambling public could take advantage. Get good sleep tonight, rest assured the refs on Saturday will be very inconsistent not only from half to half, but possession to possession. They will favor the home team. I was watching a game, and the color guy made a good observation.( Shocking!) If you are going to win on the road, you have to play 10 points better than the home team. Translation, the refs will hose you for about 10 points or more. Get used to it and prepare for it. That's the rule..Only complain if they start changing the standards in the middle of the game to make it 15 or more.
