Quinn Hughes is going to light college hockey on fire this year

His skating, vision, passing... he is playing on difference ice from everybody else. You'll probably need to click the link to see it, but it's worth the click.
We only narrowly got him back, and sadly his brother Jack did not accelerate his schooling. But Quinn is going to be the best player in college hockey this year whether the Hobey committee notices or not, and it's probably not going to be close.
This is not to say that Michigan will have the best team--lots of questions to answer with most of the scoring having moved on--but this is going to be a lot of fun to watch for 40 games.
I’m expecting a big year out of Slaker, I think he makes the jump.
But yeah, Hughes is on another level.
As a Rangers fan, his skating and vision remind a lot of Brian Leetch.
As a Blackhawks fan, Duncan Keith comes to mind.
As good as Quinn is, I don't think he's necessarily in the "best player in college hockey [...] and it's probably not going to be close" category, at least not like Eichel was, or Jack Hughes would have been had he accelerated high school. There are a few other guys that will challenge for that: Brady Tkachuk (though totally not worth the 4th overall pick, he's still really good), Oliver Wahlstrom (*sheds tear*), and Joel Farabee (overshadowed a bit by fellow linemates Wahlstrom and Jack Hughes, but every bit deserving of his top-15 draft slot). He will be, by far, the best player who doesn't play in Boston though.

That’s pretty filthy vision there. I’m really excited to see how this team performs in year two of the Pearson era
