Puerto Rico Tip-Off Updated Bracket
So both games were upsets in session 1 of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
Northeastern knocked off Georgetown and UNC-Charlotte beat Kansas State.
If Michigan wins tonight, they could face VCU which would be the only "watchable" game of the tournament to outsiders.
In other early season tourney news, Nebraska was beaten by UMass 96-90.

Very frustrating right now
November 21st, 2013 at 6:30 PM ^
I feel like we're going to get expoited by bigger teams. Our interior defense is soft, and obviously our defensive rebounding is pretty poor. Get healthy Mitch!
November 21st, 2013 at 6:31 PM ^
Ugh... this team has been waiting around for us to put them away and we keep getting stagnant for stretches and letting them back in.

sloppy sloppy sloppy

These announcers literally have no clue what is happening in this game
November 21st, 2013 at 6:34 PM ^
Dear dumbass announcer we never had a full 35 second shot clock. That's the issue here....
November 21st, 2013 at 8:42 PM ^
That was the worst.
November 21st, 2013 at 6:34 PM ^
Why is it so hard to understand that we took the timeout prior to 15 seconds being left on the clock. Why are people so stupid? It makes me sad
November 21st, 2013 at 6:36 PM ^
Walton looks lost right now
November 21st, 2013 at 6:46 PM ^
It seems like Stauskas always misses the front end of 1&1s.
November 21st, 2013 at 6:47 PM ^
McGary has to get touches on the block. He's the best player on the team.
November 21st, 2013 at 6:49 PM ^
I'm not sure I'd say the best but I agree with feeding him the ball
November 21st, 2013 at 6:48 PM ^
McGary is our only interior scorer and an excellent passer. We need to feed him the ball and run the offense through him.
November 22nd, 2013 at 2:09 AM ^
He can be a bit of a black hole, with these shooters I'd like to throw it in and kick it out for a jumper. Mitch is at his best when he creates on the offensive boards
November 21st, 2013 at 6:52 PM ^
Caris looks like he's 16
November 21st, 2013 at 6:54 PM ^
Don't start that again
November 21st, 2013 at 6:54 PM ^
Carefull there, you could start a storm....

Bielfeldt BEST CALVES IN AMERICA
November 21st, 2013 at 7:04 PM ^
A decent overall game coming off a loss, really... we had some lulls, need to go inside more, find McGary (though part of that I expect is his mssing so much practice, they're not used to him yet.) Stauskas and LeVert have obviously improved a lot, if we can just get McGary blended back into the offense and some better decision making out of Walton - and I think we will as he gets experience - we'll be tough to beat. Gonna take time for this team to reach potential I think, but the ceiling is still pretty high.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:07 PM ^
Exactly.
Championships are not won in November.
If we can make it out of the non-conference portion of the schedule with 2-3 losses we will be fine. This team will get better as the season goes on and we want it to be at its peak in March (and hopefully April).
November 21st, 2013 at 7:04 PM ^
Dan Dakich recap: (1) McGary is the biggest person in the world. (2) Max has the biggest calves in the country. (3) JMo is the best hedger in the country, and is in a race with Aaron Craft for B1G Defensive POY. (4) Coach B did the best coaching job he's every witnessed. (5) Andrew Dakich is the best leader he's ever been around in his life .... Did I miss any? [I'd say Dan Dakich is happy Coach B gave his son a spot on the squad]
November 21st, 2013 at 7:05 PM ^
oops forgot (6) LeVert is the most improved player in the country.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:59 PM ^
2,4,6 are correct
November 21st, 2013 at 8:25 PM ^
Dackich is the biggest hair donkey/jack hole covering college basketball.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:06 PM ^
Derek Walton was our leading rebounder today with 7 DRebs.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:25 PM ^
Not a good thing.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:49 PM ^
That stauskus and mcgary stay healthy. Despite the pub, staukus is this teams most important player. And I see little out of horford and morgan. Walton struggled too. I hope we beat vcu but I bet we don't.
November 21st, 2013 at 7:56 PM ^
That's a really pathetic mentality.
Freshman PGs don't typically come in and become Trey Burke in November.
McGary is still banged up. Zak Irvin is going to be a monster. Remember how raw THJ was in November 2010?
November 21st, 2013 at 9:02 PM ^
Mcgary and stauskus are by far the two most important players on this team. And I said walton struggled. He did. I didnt say he wouldn't improve. Irvin was non existent. Didnt say he won't improve either.
November 21st, 2013 at 9:30 PM ^
I think it was the whole, "I bet we don't" comment. That's quite the negative attitude, especially since we won't be playing Shaka's Havoc.
November 21st, 2013 at 8:25 PM ^
Theyre down 14 to FSU...
November 21st, 2013 at 9:17 PM ^
62-38 right now. Havent seen fsu this year but they are typically big and athletic. This team better man up.
November 21st, 2013 at 9:20 PM ^
I'd much rather play VCU. Beilein doesn't get out-schemed very often, which is what VCU wins with. FSU on the other hand, has a lot of size and athleticism. Morgan & Horford better locate their nuts if we play FSU.
November 22nd, 2013 at 1:10 AM ^
I'd rather play fsu than VCU with their pressure and no proved ball handler
November 22nd, 2013 at 1:10 PM ^
Spike would like to have a word with you.
November 21st, 2013 at 9:28 PM ^
VCU down 70-46.
November 21st, 2013 at 10:18 PM ^
85-67 final.
November 21st, 2013 at 10:47 PM ^
So this suddenly went from a great tournament to a boring tournament with an interesting losers bracket
November 22nd, 2013 at 10:58 AM ^
Is this evening's game at 5 ET or 6 ET? I'm seeing conflicting times for the game in various media.
November 22nd, 2013 at 11:04 AM ^
I've got 5:00p ET on ESPN2.
