PSU @ Nebraska open thread

Damnit, getting that double bye would have been big considering who we will play if we get past Nebraska in round 2.

Whatever. Hopefully Illinois or Rutgers can be a warm up game. Go up big early and rest the starters the rest of the game. I know it will probably end up being close though.

Seriously, I don't know.

Illinois has improved.  They lost their first 8 B1G games yet managed to win 4 out of 10 down the stretch (including wins over IU and Nebraska).  However, if we beat them, we have the chance to exact revenge on Tim Miles and Nebraska for having the audacity to beat us for the first time in decades.  We did it last year, why not do it again?  I hope MAAR rides in the car with Coach B on the way to the airport like DW did last year and asks him, 'why not us?'.   Also, we have 2 weeks to recover before the Big Dance, so an extra game might be useful as Matthews hopes to find his way and Simmons continues to take shape.  Let's do it blue!

I just rooted for PSU...and they lost. I feel dirty...like I just woke up in an alley wearing nothing but a filthy, matted fur coat and some soiled, ripped, fishnet stockings....cheap red lipstick smeared all around my mouth and across my cheeks and mascara streaks flowing down from each eye. I have apparently been crying. I have a fat lip and ity ous still bleeding. In one hand, a single 6-inch heel....broken. In the other, a flimsy plastic shopping bag containing: -1 empty bottle of Rumplemintz -1 mostly empty (plastic) bottle of Wolfschmidt vodka -1 carton box of Kool cigarettes....empty -1 box of condoms, empty Flies buzz around my head and an ungodly stench of sin and debauchery permeates the air Never rooting fpr PSU again.

Big Ten is surely pleased Nebraska won. This saves the B1G from a really ugly Thursday at MSG. Had Nebraska been the 5 seed, the first two days of the B1G tournament wouldn’t have had a single team that’s projected to make the NCAAs.

Now the pilot just needs to run off the end of the runway. Recipe for success.
