Probable Start Times @ PSU & The Game
What are consensus thoughts regarding probable start times for @ PSU on 11/21 and OSU on 11/28? My guess is for 3:30 or 7:00 (if possible) @ PSU followed by 3:30 for The Game. I realize 12:00 is traditional for OSU but aren't we likely to see 3:30 again a la 2006 for obvious reasons?

OSU will be noon even if it has to be on BTN

As long as it isn't the woman announcer from ESPN, i cant watch any game she broadcasts. She is awful.

It will be on ABC this year either at noon or 3:30.

the schedule and level of importance of the game relative to the other games and what time Michigan wants kickoff to be, regardless of network desires. Based on that, Michigan plays OSU in the traditional early window. Penn State, on the other hand, will want that game later and at night. So it will either be a 3;30 pm or evening kickoff. Either way it ends up under the lights.

There is no chance in hell BTN gets the OSU/M game.

The game was moved to 1:00 pm in 2006. Game will be at noon imo.

Nope it was at 330 in 2006. I was there. It was dark for most of the 4th quarter.

i thought osu 2006 was a night game.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:06 PM ^
Has it ever been a night game?
It was 3:30...post daylight savings time it gets dark at 5:30.
Michigan/MSU Braylonfest wasn't a night game either.

It was a night game if you were watching from Europe. I remember leaving the bar in Seville after 1am.
But it was at 3:30 Eastern.

WRONG: was a special 4pm kick off for 2006 OSU

I thought PSU was already announced as a night game?
November 1st, 2015 at 11:25 AM ^
has a rule against night games in November so PSU will not be at 7pm.

So dumb.... Why can't this stop? Minnesota @ Ohio State is the 8:00 game on abc this Saturday.

The B1G will play nights games in Nov.
November 1st, 2015 at 11:26 AM ^
will likely be an afternoon game. The only thing that's completely off the table is a night game.
November 1st, 2015 at 11:26 AM ^
I thought we had already been told OSU was at noon but I may be mistaken, and it was just assumed?
November 1st, 2015 at 11:31 AM ^
per MGoBlue.com. In fact all the remaining games are, except for Rutgers, which is now listed at 3:30.
November 1st, 2015 at 11:44 AM ^
Ohio State is 95% likely to be at Noon on ABC.
The other 5% chance would be 3:30 which would only be possible (and still unlikely) if MSU loses to either Nebraska or Maryland and also Ohio State and we win our next three games (making The Game the BIG East Championship game).
As for Penn State, the tricky thing is that's also the MSU/OSU day, which will definitely be a 3:30 game(Ohio State has already announced all night games and there's no way that's at noon).
Do you think they would put both of those games on at the same time? The other weird thing Penn State has been known to do is starting games at 5PM (the last game in Happy Valley in 2013 fit this description). Is that possible?
November 1st, 2015 at 11:58 AM ^
They will almost definently schedule the UM game around the OSU-MSU game to get more viewers, probs in primetime.

I love how this thread is started every week when we all know the TV suits announce the game times within 7 days of the game.
I don't know if this is done on purpose, but I seriously do get a good laugh out of it. I think this has been going on all season.
November 1st, 2015 at 1:02 PM ^
is because timing of both games is very important to me. While I won't know for sure until a week prior, the opinion of many here helps me plan. I.e. Do I go to/buy tickets for the PSU game? If 12:00 start sounds likely, yes. If 7:00, no. I'm f*cked in terms of watching The Game if it starts @ 3:30. I won't invite my usual group of OSU/UM fans over unless I want to get divorced and/or have my 16 year old hate me for bailing on her birthday party. My guess is other folks have scheduling issues too. I'd rather make decisions based on the prediction of many informed people vs. just myself.

Are you serious? This thread has more interest than half of the threads you start. It's ok to discuss the future.

Would imagine the Penn St game would be at 7, or possibly 5 as they have done before. Would certainly be chilly at night but it should be a big game, penn st will probably be ranked right?

Need to get by Northwestern first (could be tough game for them) and then probably need a few of the other fringe teams to lose.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:14 PM ^
Pretty sure they will both be on a Saturday, starting sometime between noon and 8 pm. Hope that helps.

Mattsarzsports is predicting Noon for the Indiana game:

He nailed it on the Rutgers game.

for this to be a night game.
Night games are great in September & October.
November ... when it could be snowing, and deer are more likely to be running around ..... and you're trying to get 100K people out of the middle of nowhere at Midnight? Not nearly as great.
I'd guess Noon, MSU @ OSU at 3:30, then ABC gets one of TCU/Oklahoma, Baylor/OK State or UCLA/Utah for their prime time game.
November 1st, 2015 at 12:23 PM ^
vs. Rutgers 3:30 BTN
@ Indiana 3:30 BTN
@ PSU 7:00p ESPN or 8:00 ABC
vs. OSU 12:00 ABC
