Jim Harbaugh on Michigan reaching out to him: "As a principle, I don't talk about any other job other than the one that I have."

-Q: Yesterday the NFL Network reported that the University of Michigan reached out to you and you expressed either directly or indirectly a desire to remain in the NFL. Did that occur?

-HARBAUGH: As I’ve said, as a principal, I don’t talk about any other job other than the one that I have. I’ve answered this question many times, even recently… so you know exactly where my priorities are.

I get this from the Marines–leaders eat last. My No. 1 priority is winning football games. Second priority is the welfare of our players, our coaches, all our staff, the welfare of our team.

And lastly is my own personal professional future.

Take it how you want, but it's definitely not more than slightly encouraging. All he said was he isn't going to tell anybody anything. You guys are reading between the lines too much. You're making it was harder to remain calm during the coaching change.

Sounds good to me!  At least that means that UM really is talking to him and he never told Hackett to take a hike. At the same time this makes me really want to know who the hell is swimming in the other lanes.

I think one of the biggest reasons Michigan needs Harbaugh is because he would unite the fan base (for the most part).  Everybody's number one choice is Harbaugh (save for a small number of Les Miles lovers).  Past that and you have the entire fan base debating/arguing over who #2 or plan B should be.  If Harbaugh falls through I'd hate to be the new coach, whoever that may be.....

"For God's sakes, quit worrying about your next job. Just do the best you can at the job you have now, and the offers will come. And when they do, if you have confidence in yourself you don't have to feel that you can't turn it down if it isn't quite right for you because you fear you'll never get another offer. You will. Wait for the right opportunity, and turn down all the rest. It will make all the difference.”

"I get this from the Marines"

So he's going to Navy?

This directly contradicts my one year old clearly saying 'Haw-Baw' yesterday.

he's had multiple chances to put an end to any speculation and has not.  let's just hope he isn't stringing us along!  he wouldn't do that to bo's program right? right??
