In this case it's both.

Oregon 56-24
January 12th, 2015 at 9:45 AM ^
You're kidding yourself if you think Oregon scores that many and OSU scores that little. OSU has a pretty good defense and both offenses are in the top five, I believe.
January 12th, 2015 at 10:30 AM ^
but a lot of people said the same things before the osu/bama game. It was surprising to say the least. I also think, after watching both games last week, that Oregon isn't going to be pushed around by osu's DL. I think osu's secondary is going to get a workout tonight.
January 12th, 2015 at 10:33 AM ^
Drake Johnson averaged almost 5 yards a carry against them.
Bama for some reason just got too cute.
Oregon jumps out, ohio state gets desperate and it could get away from them quick.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:47 AM ^
I know Oregon has couple players out but man that tempo can take down the best of them.

One thing I know will happen is that OSU will, again, score a TD right before the first half ends. They seem to do that a lot and then get the ball to start the third quarter and, shockingly, score a TD on their first drive.

Aw shucks, this sucks. I'll don my finest tux and hope for an influx of monster trucks that mucks up the Bucks and Ducks.

so Im onna floor pounding my knux, cauz this Ducks and Bucks stuff chucks me up.
January 12th, 2015 at 12:42 PM ^
(Don't slip)
Unfortunately, I think the Bucks take this one.
Oh well. Last game of the non-Harbaugh college football era. They'll have to put an asterisk by the winner for that.

Ducks
Fuck
Bucks

Urban and Jerry Jones are probably bffs. We all know how that works in ATT Stadium.

January 12th, 2015 at 9:48 AM ^
I totally agree, which is why I will not be watching a single second of this game. I just cannot stand seeing OSU so good and successful while their asshole fans are having the times of their lives and we have been so miserable lately. It sickens me.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:27 AM ^
Having a 3rd string QB finally catches up to OSU, Jones throws a costly INT to seal the victory for Oregon. Meyer eats more pizza.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:49 AM ^
That's what we thought against Wisconsin and Alabama and guess what - they still won and Jones played well in both games. That guy is good and would likely start on some other teams. Maybe not elite programs, but lower tiered teams, sure.

enough hex?

Be in denial all you want, OSU is somehow going to pull off this miracle of a season
January 12th, 2015 at 9:28 AM ^
Hate to say it, but Buckeyes squeak it out 38-35

OSU wins by 14 or so.
January 12th, 2015 at 11:18 AM ^
They will be the number 1 team and may go undefeated when they enter the big house. Then Harbaugh will pull off a Bo type upset on Urbz!
January 12th, 2015 at 1:25 PM ^
Same. OSU's run game is down right nasty, and Oregon's run-D isn't all that special. Toss in Urban in his 3rd NC game vs Oregon's coach in his first as the X-factor.
I really want Oregon, but I think it'll be OSU by 6 or so.
January 12th, 2015 at 1:52 PM ^
This one wasn't too bad (for parents subjected to this genre).
January 12th, 2015 at 9:31 AM ^
Oregon 56
Ohio State 28
January 12th, 2015 at 9:32 AM ^
but I have the same feeling I had in 2002/03 when Ohio St. beat Miami. Something weird will happen in that stadium (phantom PI calls, etc..) that will allow the Buckeyes to win. WIth that being said Oregon sure better win this game.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:32 AM ^
I keep trying to persuade myself to thinking Oregon is gonna dominate this game. But I keep thinking picking against Urban in a championship game is a bad idea.
I say Oregon wins 41-30, but man I don't feel good about that pick

but i think the Bucks win 34-28.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:33 AM ^
I tend to think it will be close for a bit and the one team will begin to pull away at the beginning of the fourth. I really hope thats Oregon. It comes down to two factors for me. 1. The run game of both squads. 2. The tempo of the game.
I feel like ohio is the better team at the moment. They have the better, morem well rounded RB. They probably have the better receivers (now). Oregon has the better QB and probably slighty the better line, at least for their scheme.
On D, ohio's D line will cause problems, but as Oregon showed against Florida State, their effectiveness can be minimalized. Assuming they dont tip a pass that turns into a turnover I dont feel like they will have an immense impact (please don't be wrong!). The rest of ohio's D is ok, but not stellar. They will get run down and confused with the pace if Oregon gets in a groove. It has happened to everyone else (except Arizona once) this season.
Regardless, if ohio runs the ball well, to me thats the difference in the game.
Going against my better judgement I'll say 41-35 Oregon. ohio will have a shot at the end put will come up short. Lets hope they have some turnovers.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:33 AM ^
And yeah...I know...OSU has a third-string QB! But...that dude could start for many, MANY D-1 teams. Dare I say most?
I don't WANT this to happen...but I think this will happen.
Ohio State - 38
Oregon - 27
I can see Elliott having a huge game.
January 12th, 2015 at 12:45 PM ^
I'm with Harbaugh--a B1G team winning it all is good for the B1G, and that means it is good for us, full stop.
January 12th, 2015 at 9:38 AM ^
I had a friend of mine who has no dog in the fight either way put it to me this way: If osu wins, the ESPN-mafia will spin it as "Urban Meyer created an SEC-style team at osu to win the National Championship." That is something I don't think I could handle. Aside from the respect that the B1G would get, or the Jim Harbaugh publically stated rooting interests, I don't think I could bring myself to root for the conference, which is a very SEC type thing to do anyway. All that said... Go Ducks.
January 12th, 2015 at 10:07 AM ^
Yup. I don't get the "root for the conference" thing. I mean, I get it, but just cannot convince myself to do it. I absolutely hate seeing our chief rivals have so much success. If Michigan were good, I might root for the conference, but if I have to be miserable, then I want their fans to be the same. I always tell a buckeye friend of mine, "It's easy for you to root for the conference and want your rival to be good when you're sitting at the top and beating everyone." Well, it's not easy for me when I see how much success and fun they have been experiencing, especially when my team has been down so long.
January 12th, 2015 at 12:06 PM ^
It is okay to root for the BIG TEN CONFERENCE in this game.
I just can't see how rooting for the PAC 12 over the BIG TEN Benefits Michigan. I don't care what it does for OSU. It would be good for the BIG TEN to have the Title of Champions.
U of M can bring OSU back to reality later this year when we play them in the Big House and it will be just a little sweeter if they happen to be defending Champions at the time.
