Potential Shakeup on OT Recruiting Board?

Shake up coming to #Michigan's 2016 OT board?

According to The Wolverine's Michael Spath, longtime Michigan commit OT Erik Swenson may not end up signing with UM.

On top of that, Michigan's recruiting coordinator Matt Dohety has recently started following OT EJ Price.

A2 --> NJ --> LA --> San Fran --> Orlando --> Atlanta --> NJ --> A2 Catch me if you can & GoBlue! #SignwiththeStars

That stop in ATL makes a lot more sense now if it is indeed for EJ Price, who is from the ATL area.

***UPDATE: Elysee-Mbem-Bosse (LB) is the likely reason for the ATL stop.

Can I be mean and vulgar towards anyone whom I sense may not be certain to sign with Michigan, and their families as well? I think this would benefit everyone involved and lead to positive outcomes.

i wish we could go back to when you only heard about a recruit after signing day. this being treated like stars before they have done anything is pointless and stupid.

...is no longer amusing.

...I think I'm done until Signing Day and I'll just come back and read up on all the stuff that happened in between.

We're going to have an excellent class regardless, no reason for me to try and pay attention to it right now. My head can't take it - and I'm actually starting to feel a little bad for the kid who've been committed for awhile. But two sides to every story and who actually knows what's going on? None of us. I fold. Good luck to you all.

I bet a dollar that you don't pull this off.  Winning, for you, means not reading any front page recruiting posts, clicking on any recruiting threads, or seeking out recruiting information anywhere else until Signing Day.  The dollar is imaginary.  If you are anything like me, your chances of winning are infinitesimal.

And FWIW, I'm feeling bad for a lot of those kids, too.  Don't necessarily disagree with what Harbaugh & co. are doing, but still feel bad for them.

I think I can do it...now please don't think I still won't be on MGoBlog 100% of the day. I wouldn't dare make that claim.

I'm just saying, I'm done actively seeking out the news. I really don't have any interest to click on future threads and things of that nature. Maybe if they say "Hello:" in front of them...but that's about it.

Of course I'll still see anything in a title, because a good title is also informative. So I don't plan to miss out on the important information like commits and decommits. But all of the stuff in between, I can do without.

Recruit (x) is taking a visit. Harbaugh hasn't called recruit (y) in 48 hours. Recruit (z) says Michigan leads, but he's going to take all of his OV's and Michigan will not be one of them. This year it's just gotten confusing and honestly, out of control for someone like me. I'm sure the coaches are in the thick of it...attacking it with EUTMK. Me? I'm just a tired, bewildered, blogger who's had his fix for the year.

Wake me when it's over.

Those people are fickle. I've given my all...but I can no longer keep up. This year (you have to admit) has been different than anything we've seen in the past.

Hell, Alum can't even post his swim lanes because shit changes every 3 hours. It's exhausting.

So like I said, I'm not going to FOLLOW it. Doesn't mean I won't catch stuff from the titles on the side or anything. But I do think I can avoid recruiting related threads in the future. Plenty of other stuff to think about as we get into spring ball.

Maybe I'll try to figure out who's on track to graduate by May. Update a spring depth chart perhaps? Maybe, catch up on Brandon's Lasting Lessons that I got for Christmas.

the hardest part is the fact that you'll get info just by looking at the Board (via threads). I was a recruiting junkie until a few years ago and while I no longer look for info I'm relatively caught up due to the blog. You have to avoid the blog to avoid knowing anything about recruiting.....and twitter....and all social media. I still pine for the days when I didn't know who the new guys were until they played. Braylon was the last I could say that about. I really got deep into it after that year.

Will graduate as Champions and have a world class education. Can't promise everything but a few cold days and some speed bumps build character. Ask Tom Brady.

MM what an amazing memory, upvote for you.  Excerpt from ESPN.com story:

Yuri Wright, the 40th-ranked player on the ESPNU 150 who is being sought by schools in the Big Ten, Pac-12, ACC, SEC and Big East, has put his scholarship hopes in up in the air after being expelled from school for sexually graphic and racial Twitter posts.

Wright was expelled from Don Bosco Prep High School in Ramsey, N.J., on Wednesday, his high school coach, Greg Toal, confirmed to numerous media outlets.

"He was expelled from the school for the things he had written on Twitter," Toal told ESPNNewYork.com. "It was pretty simple really, what he wrote were some graphic sex things. This is a Catholic school, things like that cannot happen. It was totally inappropriate."

The reason, his coach said, was because of a series of tweets that began last July. Among the schools he is considering are Michigan, Rutgers, Notre Dame and Colorado. A number of outlets reported that Michigan has stopped recruiting him.

Wright, a senior cornerback, was warned about social media consequences, according to Toal. Wright's account, which had more than 1,600 followers, has been deleted.

"We told them about 10 or 15 times to get off (Twitter) and not to be involved in it, but there is always somebody who thinks he knows better." Toal told ESPNNewYork.com. "What he wrote was pretty bad, to be honest with you, I can't even say what he wrote.

"He was told on numerous occasions not to be Twittering and there are consequences for his actions."  "There have been schools that have called asking about it, but he'll be fine as far as colleges go." Toal told ESPNNewYork.com. "Some don't like it, but mostly people are just calling to make sure his head is straight."
