USF is making a late push
All recent arrows point to USF taking the lead, which is a bummer. I think it's a surprise if he picks Michigan at this point. Which, like, picking USF over Michigan? He wants to stay close to home. We're going to run into this on occasion going after so many Florida kids.

...but Holtz is a dynamic speaker. He spoke at halftime of a USF basketball game the week he got hired, and was very, very impressive. He's like Lane Kiffin but without the reptilian undertones. Somehow, though, I hope he isn't impressive enough to land Posada.

He would be a excellent addition to this class and I am really excited of how good our OL group could be in this class!
I'm a little pessimistic about this one. It's been eerily quiet, and he hasn't been returning any calls. I think we still have a good chance, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not us.
were we in the lead when he first set his announcement date?

It's tough because the coaches offered him really early on so I am sure he is high on their list but I prefer Bryant and Walsh at this time...I'm excited to see how this plays out...
I'm really hoping I won't have to hate this kid if he commits elsewhere.

I didn't mean hate, I'm not gunna loathe the kid or anything. Might resent him a little, just because I want the best for Mich etc, etc. You all know how it goes.
But no, I'm not gunna hate an innoent high schooler for where he goes to college, but I do really hope it's us.
ALSO I'm pretty new to this site. Haven't seen this avatar. Should I see someone with it, i will change. Not trying to start any turf wars, it's just my favorite movie.
It's a long time till that special Tuesday in Feb. If he'll do an official visit he's still looking. I'm just sayin.....

from where he and his family live. I hope he signs with us, but I can't blame him if he figures that USF is better for him for family reasons. If he doesn't want to come here, then I'm not going to spend any time agonizing about it. Who knows, maybe he's got a GF down there that he doesn't want to leave. No reason to dump on the kid.
