Speculate as you will about what it means for our other targets.

I think that pie young would be a better fit elsewhere than Michigan. he is a little flashy/show boaty, and it looks like he takes some plays off. then again, a lot of the best receivers are like that. I'd rather use the scholarship on defense or OL

thats some serious insight to glean from highlight tapes (unless youre familiar with the kid or others who are) - even if he were "flashy / show boaty" and "takes plays off" (and i dont know he is / does), i doubt the coaches care provided he takes care of business (and theyd very quickly ensure he doesnt take plays off if he actually did in hs).

and the fans shouldnt really care as long as he goes to class, takes care of business on and off the field and appropriately reps the school.

football is a chippy game - some edge and attitude (as long as theyre in the right places and whatnot) are almost prerequisites.

pacman jones?  no.

richard sherman?  yes

I think they want Stewart for a traditional outside WR - most of our other guys are slot-ish and Hawkins may go D. It seems that Pie was destined as DB in this class and maybe the staff would prefer a free safety type with Hawkins, Hudson, Long, and probably Hill in the fold (A good feeling on Hill would be the only reason I would think the staff would slow pursuit on Pie.)

Man I'm feeling like a greedy miser.  It's like JH is running around with a hoover scooping up all the creme de la creme.  This is a monster class he's building.

to make life easier on his qb, translated to mean find as many players possible from the ranks of the TEs, WRs and FBs to allow for a completion with the qb holding onto the ball for no longer than roughly 2.5 seconds.  The number of TEs was already impressive and he was able to add to that group. He really improved the wide receiving corp, both in numbers and in talent. I think, though, McDoom, is realistically the last player we can accept a commit from at this position. And FBs tend to come from members of the roster that already exist, with Davis being the clear exception.

It will be fun watching these players develop much like we watched the transformation in Jehu this season, from game one to the bowl game. Understanding we now have more than just one receiver who can get the defense headed backwards in a hurry is quite exciting. Not many things more fun that watching a lber turn his head away from the offensive and sprint downfield while watching our RB carry the ball in the same direction at the same time.

O'Korn, come out blazing, and this could be a very fun year.
