He's listed at 6'2" but he looks taller than that. I feel like Clemson is the team to beat there.

So Allen Trieu just retweeted Bill Greene. Anyone know who yet?

He was previously an ND verbal and now listed as an OSU commit on Scout. I wonder how this impacts Diamond's decision.

surprised to see that only 1 of Ohio comitts are from the state of Florida. Although according to scout they have the #7 class.

Urban was getting his butt kicked in FL recruiting -- that is why he quit. Once his top assistants left, there was nobody to cover the B.S. he was selling kids and families. He had to go out of state for his 5-stars in 2010 class (except Matt Elam) and had no five stars committed when he quit after the 2010 season.

Its tough to compete with Clemson ... they have a lot of money to throw around

I thought it was interesting that he listed academics as one of his biggest factors in choosing and has pretty much had Clemson leading since his recruitment began. They are definitely the academic outlier in that group.

He said Coach Montgomery told him he could "play either linebacker or defensive end at Michigan depending on how tall I get."
Taller=WDE(?)
Not as tall=SAM(?)
Roh at WDE and Ryan at SAM seem to support that theory, so that could potentially be insightful into how the coaches decide who plays at each of those respective positions. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into that.

Gobluegr, you're getting terrific interviews for us like you do this for a living or something.
We don't have to worry about you jumping ship to a pay site, do we? ;-)
Seriously though, thanks for getting these. You and aquaman are doing great work.

Michigan in his top 3. Who else? Clemson, Stanford, North Carolina.
Perfect fit for the Big 10 given his counting skills.
January 15th, 2012 at 9:02 PM ^
Could that have been a slip, Michigan as his #1 and then the other 3?

Suggs was the comparison that Coach Mattison used with Mario too. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they've been telling Taco Charlton either. They're definitely identifying a certain type of player and going hard after them.
