perfect timing: BTN plays 08 capital one bowl

just thought i'd point out that I woke up this morning and turned on espnnews and all they're talking about is urban (rightly so) and then I flip to espn and they're doing the same. then I go to BTN and they're showing us beating urban meyer in the 08 capital one bowl. it's probably been programmed for days or weeks but it's still awesome

Three things on that: A. That game was such a phenomenal game. 2. Obviously a wonderful treat for Lloyd Carr and D. When I'm bored, and missing college football (all the time), I sometimes watch the highlights on youtube. I can't wait till we're in a bowl game again. PS The only three downers of this game are the two Mike Hart fumbles, and the misfire to Jake Long. I would have loved to see the big boy take one to the house!

I wanted to go to that game soooo badly and all my friends refused, telling me we were going to get our butts handed to us. Guess who was right! From then on, what I say goes re: Michigan or Bust road/air trips in my group! 3

i hope he is OKAY health wise, but as a person i just cannot stand him. the 2006 whining incident and now watching the post-halftime report with holly rowe where he is whining about the calls...so glad that lloyd won his last game; the fact that he beat urban is just a cherry on top.

BTN also showed the Mich/ND game from this year last night. Unfortunately they had the Mich/Iowa game on right after that.

Just finished watching the BTN broadcast of the game; I don't think I've watch a game more times than that one, it was great. Better than great; it was one of the all-time bowl games. Of course I'm most certainly I'm biased, but it was a very entertaining game to watch. Comparing that wolverine squad with the current squad, ouch...it's hard to believe that squad could be beat, I forget how much time Henne and Hart spent injured during the season. It's going to be a few years til we get on par with that squad; currently, we seem miles away. I enjoyed when the announcers were interview Coach Rodriguez, commenting that he wouldn't have to change from the blue and gold motif, and Coach replied to the question using 'Maize and Blue' in his answer. He was already focused on the team. That game seems so long ago; hopefully the team has success this upcoming year and can leave all this 'Great Depression' behind.
