PAYWALLED: The Athletic on Duncan Robinson’s Life as a Two-way Player

If you get The Athletic, it has an interesting article this morning on Duncan Robinson’s life commuting between Sioux Falls and Miami. Among other things, it’s the longest distance between an NBA team and its affiliate by a very long shot. It sounds like he’s accumulated a lot of frequent flyer miles and knows the ins and outs of DFW where he regularly changes planes. Nevertheless, it sounds like he’s having a blast,

When is a smart journalist really take on the challenge of writing a telling article about how Beilein has taken fringe players and turned them into pros, that would have had no shot otherwise...I mean, it's a tough write, not to diss the player while telling the truth. There is a huge story there if written right.  Had Robinson never transferred there is no chance..none...that he'd be playing for the Heat. This kid didn't even have a division 1 offer...   If Sports Illustrated gets smart, they'll send their best writer on this...
