Paul (Pete) Finebaum: Jim Harbaugh Nailed It With This One (Rome Trip)

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on

Just woke up and turned on Sportscenter....Finebaum is impressed with the Rome trip. He said "this is what the college experience is all about." Even the world's biggest turd agrees Harbaugh's innovation on this topic can't be argued.

I think this spring practice abroad thing is iron clad. If they try to ban it, Michigan payers and coaches can talk about all the educational opportunities they had. Its extremely hypocritical, and would look worse than the suggested camp ban. The media would tear up the NCAA if they attempt to ban it. Plus Sabam and Urban want zero part of traveling to South Africa, so the risk of mimicry is minimal and it is a great recruiting tool.

Mork is planning to take his sparties to Sparta next spring.

Yes, Sparta---Sparta, MI. And while there, he and the team will have an opportunity to kiss the feet of Sparta's most famous alumni, "Huge" (aka Bill Simonton).

I thought the college experience was getting hand checks from boosters, skipping classes, and trying not to get an STD from a sorority girl?

If they go to South Africa, the college experience could include a less fun STD called HIV. Almost 20% of the country has it. Hopefully, they go to Brazil so we don't get to see DNP-AIDS in the injury report.

Is because no SEC recruiting targets are involved. If Saban was going after an Italian kicker with a cannon for a leg, Feinstein would be having his normal hissy fit.

by a few vowels or consonants as a sign of adolescent disrepect, but totally anti-Semitic to intentionally get his last name wrong by a few vowels or consonants?

This is so ridiculous that I'm not even going to get pissed. If you want to report me to the ADL, have at it. But if you do, be sure to let former U.S. Senator Carl Levin know—he needs to know an alleged anti-Semite on MGoBlog voted for him and contributed to his campaigns.

He looks like he should be one of those idiot characters on Dilbert. Why couldn't he have been an ESPN casualty?

He is one of the many sports talking heads in which I Google their age and try to figure out how many years it will be until they retire (FYI- he's 60).

Yeah I disagree. I'm always annoyed to stumble across a post where a grown adult on television can openly bash a program like Michigan but will not dare say a thing about an SEC school because he would actually lose his job. I hope ESPN is gone in a few years along with Pete. ESPN was cool like 20 years ago with Olbermann, Patrick and all those dudes.
