Patrick Biondi (Baseball) Update
Former Michigan outfielder Patrick Biondi is off to a good start with Low-A Savannah in the Met system. Biondi, who was drafted in the 9th round, is hitting .304 with 24 stolen bases (but eight caught stealing) in 76 games. Over his last 10 games, he's really heated up, batting.421 with 2 homers, 9 rbis, and 5 sbs. Last night was his best yet: 5 for 7 with a homer.

A monthly roundup of some of our guys in the bigs and minors would be awesome.

I was going to ask how he's played 76 games already, since that's unreal for a player that just started a couple months ago, but then I realized he his senior year was 2013, not 2015...

I miss Formerly Anonymous' baseball coverage. Thanks for the update.
Biondi started out with the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) the same year Michael O'Neill started with the Staten Island Yankees. A friend's a season ticket-holder with the Baby Bombers (gave up on the overpriced Bronx Boys) and invited me to the game between our two alumni. O'Neill's now in the Yankee's High A team in Tampa.
Anytime you want an update, MGoblue.com has a Wolverines in Professional Baseball page, including both majors and minors, where the guys are currently playing and highlight news of their current play.
For those of you who participate in fantasy baseball, Biondi was written up by rotoworld.com this afternoon.
