Right.  I understand him being more calm on the sidelines.  I think it effected some of the calls we were getting.

On the recruiting trail the staff just seemed lackluster.  There were many prospects that we lead for early, or were even the first to offer, that we got beat out late.  Yes, Win-Loss record has some impact on that, but it didn't seem like we had guys out there grinding on the recruiting trail.  If they were out there it was too late (Chase, Patterson, NPF.)

Also, many teams negative recruit against us and I don't blame them.  It's time we start doing the same thing (rumors of Schiano leaving, their DL coach retiring soon, Brian Kelly interviewing for NFL jobs)  There comes a time when you need to stop being gentlemen and start being gritty.  Fight a little dirty.  I'm not saying that we should break rules, but some negative recruiting might be effective.

Well, he was most likely looking for the better football program, not the better school for his future after football and right now Georgia is the best football team money can buy. Literally. I guess we were his back up plan in case Georgia didn't have space for him.

this has to do a lot with the amount of control that Jim possesses within the athletic program. I don't think that Warde is coming down on harbaugh as much as he should be. Jim is the Hc, CEO, and Owner of the football program. Warde needs to put some pressure on harbaughs throat and get some change moving in the staff. There is an outstanding issue within the team and Warde is essentially letting it happen. WIth all the anger and lack of confidence of the fans, you'd think that it would make him wanna do something. This is all going to directly effect the amount of money the university is going to rake in. This is MICHIGAN we are one of the most prestigous programs in the entire country, and we are the laughing stock of the entire NCAA. He needs to do something, and get some progress going. WIth all the money going out to coaches and facilities, this is not the result we are looking for. Use that donor money get the cancers out of the program and tell harbaugh his relationships aren't worth more than the success of your program.  If you are a real "Michigan Man" you won't let this happen to your school, and you will fight for it. The phrase "Leaders and the Best" means a whole lot to some of us, and it being mocked and tarnished as much as it has in the last year makes me cringe. All the antics and the Bullshit have to go, Carr and Bo never needed that shit, they stood for something bigger than themselves and didn't let ego or anything else get in front of what it meant to be a part of this university. I am sorry if this is so emotional and I sound full of shit, but I think this program means more, our tradition is taking a beating and we look like a circus to the rest of the country.

If you think Harbaugh doesn't feel maximum pressure, you are fooling yourself. Everyone knows how this business goes. You have about 5 years - max - to at least produce a conference championship and to beat your rivals. If you can't get it done, you are done. We have no idea what Manual is saying to Jim. But we do not need to know, because Jim knows that if he doesnt produce a championship quickly, and beat OSU quickly, he will fail at Michigan. And his coaching career will not recover. And it will be overshadowed by failure. He knows.

you all just calm down.  Why does everything have to be so negative on this board.  The best players are the players that want to be here.  We have one of the best coaches in this sport.  His team will be strong.  When you jump ship, don't bother climbing back on when Harbaugh gets all his players playing his brand of football.  Go Blue!

What a horrible ending to this class. Missed on everyone at the end. Not much top level guys. You can only take so many sleepers and expect to have a high level of talent on the roster. Changes need to be made in recruiting.

Is just a terrible ending to a second-rate recruiting class in a third-rate season. Harbaugh more and more is looking like he is not a good fit at Michigan. Michigan needs more than smoke and mirrors to be successful.

Enough of this “who do you have in mind”. I am all about giving Jim 2-3 more yrs. in the end if he doesnt produce it is time to look somehwere else. Who thought Mark was going to be a good fit at MSU? Well he is there now and kicking ass. Sometimes you have to look outside the box. This whole “Michigan man” think is blinding everyone.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any successful program.  Alabama wins titles because of superior recruiting.

2015:  Michigan - 37th ranked class

2016:  Michigan - 8th ranked class

2017:  Michigan - 5th ranked class

2018:  Michigan - 19th ranked class ?

Big step backward by any measure. Talented football players want to win championships.

10-3

10-3

8-5

Harbaugh has to turn the ship around in 2018 with an uncertain QB situation (again) and a wobbly, question-mark ridden offensive line (again).

Not what the doctor ordered for year 5.

The Michigan defense should be seething though and fun to watch.

Year 4 and we have one win over a 3-9 MSU team to hang our hat on.

Meanwhile, OSU will sign 15 players this cycle that are rated higher than anyone Michigan will sign.

I don't want harbaugh to go, but just looking at his coaching staff and what they have accomplished thus far and the shitty recruiting they did this year I don't see how it is going to get any better within the next two years..

Going into year fucking 4 and we don't have a quarterback who has a fucking clue.. harbaugh relies on transfers because he can't coach up shit or the coaches around him suck balls..

I can't envision any scenario where he is the head coach by 2020.. I hope I'm wrong

Georgia just pulled WR Tommy Bush too.  6-5, 195 lb WR who was considering MSU.  Most underrated recruit I can remember seeing, he's a legit 6-5 and ran a 4.47 laser times 40 and jumped 39" for vertical.  He's an absoluite freak.  Glad he's not coming to the Big Ten.

Win games and then Michigan can keep these recruits. I can’t blame him for choosing GA or Michigan. Just win! Huge year 4 for JH. Just win football games. Please. For the love of God and everything that is holy. Just win!

Good luck to the young man......hope Georgia is all he hopes for.

While they are 18 year old kids and some have no sense.....I kind of struggle with this one. My opinion is that our society today struggles with commitment. He made a verbal commitment to M a long time ago. If he was uncertainn then why not decommit? I don't think he woke this morning flipping a coin between Michigan and the Dawgs. Don't like the fact that he basically may have been stringing folks along.....Decommit and let Michigan make their own decision, he could always recommit if he felt complelled to do so.

I know it's crootin and they are kids but it still doesn't seem right. To be fair, it's not right for the schools to string kids along either.

I hope Mr. Reese has a wonderful life.  I also hope it is spent on the bench until he looks to transfer to Michigan & is told "thanks, but we're good."

May he get a good education & spend the rest of his life wishing he had stuck to the commitment he had made.
