OT: Your NFL Team

Submitted by jb5O4 on
As the NFL playoffs draw near I am curious as to what people's team is in the NFL. Since Michigan has a large out of state alum/fan base I figured we'd get a good spread of fans from different pro teams. Feel free to talk trash or share your favorite memories of your team.

The expansion season happened when I was in Kindergarten. It's really cool to be part of the first generation of fans and to say that you were there from the beginning.

Bears Bears Bears. Grew up outside Chicago. How could I not be? But when it comes to a general game, I always root for the team that has more Michigan players on it.

When I first moved to SE Louisiana I tried hard to not become a saints fan. Why go from a horrible lions team to a historically horrible saints team. But, I couldn't help it. I think rooting for a losing team on sundays helped ease the home sickness. Then the amazing post katrina miracle happened, the saints got good. WHO DAT! Wooee! It could not get mo Betta (add in cajon accent)

Even though I grew up in Michigan, I've been a Dolfan since about '71. At least, that's as early as dim memories go back. It was great when they picked Long & Henne. I hope they will lead Miami back to playoff contention and some Super Bowl runs.

My favorite pro football team is the Michigan Panthers. Nothing beats Herbert to Carter. Hasnt been the same since they left. Otherwise, lifelong Steeler fan.

Moved to Michigan in 1985. Didn't watch the NFL at that time (too young). Became Lions fan when they drafted Barry. Became a Patriots fan the day Bledsoe got hurt.

Even though I have lived in the DC area for most of my life I am a Ravens fan. This is pretty common in my area. I love the city of Baltimore, and the Redskins have done a lot to make people around here hate them. They don't have that large a fanbase down here

So i've been a life long Lions fan. They've pissed me off plenty over the years, but they are still my team, no matter what. Oh yeah, Barry Sanders was, is, and always will be the greatest RB of all time. Bar none.

I'm from Became a Dolphin fan when I was 4 years old as my father and grandfather were watching the Dolphins vs 49ers Superbowl and were rooting for the Dolphins. I became of fan of the Dolphins and especially Dan Marino immediately. In fact, now that I think about it, I don't remember much else about being 4. I recall the Monday Night Football defeat of the Bears in 85 as a fond childhood memory as well. I'm not quite sure how I became a Michigan fan. I believe it was in 86...the game where a Michigan linebacker intercepted a pass to end a close game. I know Speilman was playing for OSU. Why I became a Michigan fan?? I don't know, maybe I was pissed at my dad that day and decided to root against him. I truly don't know. I do know that when I look around at the Buckeye lemmings all around me, I know it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Lived in Michigan whole life, so thus the Lions. But each year I have less interest in the NFL. Games are boring, almost to the point of not being watchable. I did not watch any NFL game this year in its entirety. Plus, I have better things to do now on Sundays than sit on the couch for four hours.
