OT - Your Draft Walkup Song

Submitted by JeepinBen on May 9th, 2014 at 3:12 PM

So it didn't come out very well on TV last night, and they also released the list of songs before hand, but drafted players got to pick their own walk-up song last night. I find this a much higher pressure situation than a baseball players' - you only get one, not a few hundred per year.

So, it's draft night. you're an expected top 10 pick. What do you choose? Do you go with Stone Cold Steve Austin's music? If you're Manziel do you do Free Fallin? Some of the music and/or humor aficianados on here should have some great ideas

I play Mo' Money Mo' Problems. Fail out of the league in 4 years and go bankrupt 2 years after that supporting all of my "friends and family". I work a series of jobs at Foot Locker and as a middle school football coaching only to get picked up for a reality show on VH1. The reality show recoups my money only to all be blown again on a divorce lawyer when I catch my 3rd wife performing oral sex on a C-list rapper. After declaring bankruptcy twice I become a motivational speaker and die poor. My tombstone reads, "A Real Story of American Irony".

Definitely did not expect someone else to have this as their song as well. If anyone ever asks me if I could have a walk-up song or any song automatically play when I walk in the room, this is always the song I pick. Well done, sir! You know who it is...

Slick Rick's original version of Ladi Dadi. I've been teaching it to my 9 year old and he loves it. I have to censor it for him. I'd grab the mic from Goodell and do the whole song. Hey, it's live TV, what are they gonna do?

Stranglehold by Ted Nugent.

I'm not sure the lyrics would make the NFL proud, but if I were a soon-to-be professional football player, it's got the attitude, aura, and coolness that I'd like to project.

Ultimate Warrior's music -- Run to the stage, rip the jersey away from Roger, gorilla press him, toss him into the crowd, and run off the stage into the darkness.

I would likely use something goofy, probably either Jackie Davis - Manana or Herb Alpert - Spanish Flea.  Yakety Sax might be going too far but would be amusing.

Or if I felt like trolling the NFL:
