OT: Yahoo Report implicates Miles Bridges in Dirty Dealings with ASM Sports Agency

Submitted by WorldwideTJRob on

Looks as if Izzo will have to answer more uncomfortable questions at his press conferences. They go into detail that Miles Bridges Mom took $500 on some documents at the agency. This would make him ineligible immediately and probably would spell the end for Coach Izzo at MSU.

From what is revealed in the report so far looks like his Mom accepted some money. Amount pales in comparison to what was given to some other recruits. Still nice to see Izzo’s name and his star player come
out in these documents.

This article was just posted immediately below this post, albeit with somewhat poor title. Nevertheless, they do go into detail of how much Miles Bridges's mom received. The article says hundreds and the ledger has cash and in kind gifts of approximately $500.

Additionally, Izzo meet with the indicted agent. Can't wait to hear his explanation on that. Lastly, it looks like we now have an inkling as to why Bridges stayed another year.

Thank goodness for Beilein: no terror at all in reading these articles.

I was just listening to 97.1, and you are literally correct. A Sparty fan made all these points, and the hosts agreed - small amount of money, Izzo may not have known, Izzo had a relationship with the agent (so meeting with him may mean nothing), etc. Plus, this is separate from Nasser, Travis Walton, Aplling/Payne, and on, and on, and on. Basically, if Izzo was found standing in a room with 50 dead people and a gun in his hand, we'd have to wait for all the facts to come out before we make any rash decisions...

you're suggesting Sparty fans are deliberately  clueless in their own mind game of Clue? I think it was really the evil prosecutor with a candlestick in the main ballroom. Izzo is really a Sgt. Shultz type, he knows nothing about anything. Things just happen and then you clean up the spill on whatever aisle Engler decides will make the mess go away without culpability.

"A big nothingburger.  There was no collusion with the sports agents!  The sports agents didn't even try to change the kids vote on which school to attend.  Tom Izzo was a glorified coffee boy.  He wasn't a central figure in the program..."

their burden of proof continues to rise to ridiculous levels.

Mike Valenti - "Ok, listen, if you show me a video, with all parties wearing name tags, where an agent handed an envelope of money to Tom Izzo to provide to Miles Bridges mom, and audio confirming exactly what the payment was for, with clear sight of Tom Izzo's face during the entire transaction, and then a subsequent video of Izzo handing the money to Miles Bridges or his Mom, and saying THIS IS MONEY FOR YOU TO PLAY BASKETBALL AT MICHIGAN STATE, I will be the first to say to burn the program to the ground.  But until such time this is all just speculation, and frankly, really embarassing for Yahoo Sports."

testifying in the R Kelly trial:

Prosecutor:

Mr. Chappelle, what would it take to convince you that R. Kelly is guilty?

Dave Chappelle:

Okay, I'd have to see a video of him singing "Pee On You," two forms of government ID, a police officer there to verify the whole thing, four or five of my buddies and Neal taking notes, and R. Kelly's grandma to confirm his identity.

R. Kelly's Grandma:

That's my Robert, always peeing on people.
