They just intentionally walked Ryan Garko, a below average hitter...take out Ni, bring in Perry and as anyone with half a brain would do, Washington brings in Cruz who has arguably been the best hitter in baseball so far this year. If they lose in Cruz's at-bat, Leyland will look stupid.

Edit: He walked. Seriously, what a stupid fucking move. Now you have Perry trying to get out of a bases loaded jam totally created by the manager. Unbelievable.

You can't put that on Perry at all. That was totally Leyland. There's no way you should take Ni out in that situation when he's facing a guy that can't hit a lick, but not only did they do that, they intentionally walked him. It's just one game, but that intentional walk was arguably the dumbest thing I have seen in a long time....then you expect Perry to face a monster like Cruz? I'll stop before I go on a longer rant; let's just say that was Zambrano-to-the-bullpen level moronic.

days, the NHL is going to have good, consistent officiating that is also consistent to the rules and everybody is going to be shocked and there are going to be many more fans. In the 11 seconds that are left before the world implodes, that is.

I hate Bettman at least as much as the next guy, but even I'm not going to go so far as to say officiating is biased without far more proof than a bunch of crappy calls in a sport where there are many, many, many crappy calls. Especially when I'm biased one way and the calls are generally pretty subjective.

So, the NHL is 1/3 of the way there. Unfortunately, that's a crappy percentage even by U-M orgo/engineering/intro physics standards...

bullpen ERA in either the AL or the whole MLB I believe I heard Mario and Rod say tonight. Our bullpen has been saving our starters asses the whole season. Our starters have had trouble getting into the 6th inning so far this year.

I am excited for what Austin Jackson can become in the future. Yes, he strikes out ALOT, but he covers so much ground in the outfield and he is hitting in the .300's so far.

What is wrong with the damn video feed on Vs.? I'm having a hard time following with the screen going choppy every 3 seconds. I wish ESPN would have been able to keep the NHL contract.
