OT: Who's gonna win the Superbowl?
Personally rooting for Manning to win one more and retire a-la Elway, but I think the Seahawks' defense is unwise to pick against if the game ends up being played in inclement weather. Plus, the Seahawks have a pretty competent offense that is capable of winning games in their own right.
Prediction if snowing: Seattle 24 - Broncos 17
Prediction if just cold: Seattle 35 - Broncos 31

slipped a molly in his gatorade during the fourth quarter. or he put it there himself.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:55 PM ^
Championships, Seattle has the better defense. Seattle wins 27-16 !!!!
January 20th, 2014 at 10:01 AM ^
Methinks you've never taken "molly".
January 19th, 2014 at 11:47 PM ^
nevermind.... I just figured it out
January 19th, 2014 at 11:08 PM ^
and optimistic about a Denver win, but Seattle is imposing on defense. This game has excellent potential to entertain. Always nice to anticipate the game more than the commercials.

Brady is not in it.
Harbaugh is not in it.
So, don't care.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:21 PM ^
Harbaugh is an embarrasment for Michigan. Glad he lost today
January 19th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
There were numerous calls against the Niners that were absolute bullshit. Harbaugh was justified. I like a coach who is willing to defend his players, just like Fran McCaffery did against Wisconsin earlier this season.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
What's your deal man?
January 19th, 2014 at 11:30 PM ^
Guy acts like an 8 year old on the sideline. Poor sport with no class
January 19th, 2014 at 11:35 PM ^
Yeah, Harbaugh is incredibly invested in his team. So the guy is emotional....he has turned Stanford around and made the Niners one of the best teams in the NFL. When he was interviewed in the tunnel after the game, he was gratious.
I'd love to have his childish behavior at Michigan if things don't pan out with Hoke et al.
I think the Broncos win. I get the feeling that some of Wilson's performance issues are due to the big stage he is now on and teams are figuring out how to contain him. If the Seahawk D can get some pressure on Manning, like a couple of early sacks, all bets are off.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:37 PM ^
Harbaugh's team got jobbed a couple times in the game. He works the officials when he thinks his team is getting hosed. Good for him. I'm guessing you are not old enough to remember a guy named Bo Schembechler.
It is hard to believe that anyone could have watched the absolute shit show that was Richard Sherman, and then go post that Jim Harbaugh is a poor sport with no class.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:45 PM ^
Prancing around like a child and yelling to the ref is two different things. And there was no calls that gave any advantage to the hawks all game. You could say the fumble, but the niners got the ball back next play anyways.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:49 PM ^
That is completely beside the point. Not sure if you're aware, but Harbaugh can't predict the future. He was angry at the call before the fumble happened, and rightfully so.
January 20th, 2014 at 2:08 AM ^
how about the roughing punter call?
i think that's the turning point of the game.
January 20th, 2014 at 6:30 AM ^
that the refs called running into the kicker. SF would have had a first down and the ball around the 35 instead the Seahawks got the ball at their 40 and drove for a TD. The BS blow to the head call that was shoulder pad to shoulder pad and kept a Seattle drive alive. You must be a fan of team PED with a cheating coach and whatever you call that piece Richard Sherman.
January 20th, 2014 at 7:56 AM ^
Not sure what you were watching. Every replay showed him getting hit in the head. Every one.

The officiating was awful and each time the booth covered for them, just lamenting about a call not being reviewable instead of flat out saying they #@#$ed up.
The difference between these guys and the replacements is 25% performance and 75% perception. They were terrible, and it ought to be a story today.
January 20th, 2014 at 12:13 AM ^
I hate part of this fan base.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:15 PM ^
HAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Best defense in the league. Punishing running game.
I was at the preseason game in Seattle where Manning and his offense got bitched in the first half. Like absolutely bitched off the field.
Hawks win a close one, and the weather is a factor.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:17 PM ^
I will be rooting for the Seahawks. I like Lynch since he did pretty well for me in FF this year.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
If the teams need to run the ball than Denver is in trouble against the stout Seattle Run Defense. If the weather is decent than I think Peyton will go 4 and 5 wide, test the field laterally, and get rid of the ball very quickly.
On a side note I live about 5 miles from MetLife and this has been the windiest winter I can remember. Even when its not really cold its still been windy as hell.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:42 PM ^
Not sure if you know, but what are the chances that the weather is so bad that the game gets postponed?
January 19th, 2014 at 11:52 PM ^
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/19/nfls-super-bowl-weather…
It sounds like a possibility, but only a slight one given all the logistics of moving the game.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
I wish the Broncos had played the schedule that say...the Rams played. We would have really seen if they had the best offense of all time.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:19 PM ^
I was really hoping for the Seahawks to win until I saw Richard Sherman's shitshow of an interview. Classless. Go Broncos.
January 20th, 2014 at 12:05 AM ^
Seems kind of odd to switch your opinion of a team just because one guy is a dick
January 20th, 2014 at 12:08 AM ^
Well I guess I was hoping for a Niners-Pats Super Bowl, so I had no strong rooting interest either way. I slightly preferred the Seahawks to the Broncos before this. I don't care for either team.
January 20th, 2014 at 12:22 AM ^
Don't forget their coach
January 20th, 2014 at 1:50 AM ^
Not at ALL! Not when the guy is THAT MUCH of a Dick!
To me it seems impossible to still root for his team, unless you're from the NWest?
January 20th, 2014 at 12:30 AM ^
I really hate that the Sherman rant is even a debate. My high school coach used to say every great team needs a couple assholes. Its part of the makeup of the team. Whether that it true or not, i'm not sure. People talk shit in football and people who are offended have probably never played and just don't get it. I prefer guys like Barry Sanders and Megatron who are class acts but to be offended by hot heads is just dumb. They probably all had no problem rooting for the Bad Boys Pistons teams.
January 20th, 2014 at 7:53 AM ^
This is a silly argument for the following reasons:
There is no debate here - Sherman clearly acted like a complete jackass.
You are correct that every team needs/has a couple assholes, but did your coach also say that everybody needs to like them?
Nobody is offended here - just pointing out the obvious.
Yes, we all rooted for the Bad Boys because they were our assholes - but the rest of the NBA's fans fucking hated them!!
January 20th, 2014 at 8:02 AM ^
To be fair, Crabtree was asking for it when he refused to shake Sherman's hand. He was an ass and continued taking shots at Sherman in the locker room. Sherman is known for talking on the field but I've never seen him do that after a game. At least it should make next year fun.
January 20th, 2014 at 12:35 AM ^
You probably think Ali was classless too. Dude talked a little trash. Didn't swear. Big deal.
January 20th, 2014 at 10:28 AM ^
Comparing Sherman to Ali is about the dumbest thing I've read on this thread.
No offense :)
January 20th, 2014 at 1:06 AM ^
He only made an incredibly athletic play to seal a trip to the Super Bowl. Can't fault him for being emotional and it sounds like Crabtree was fanning the flames at the end. Also, Sherman was clearly more reserved in his follow up interviews. I'm all for interviews where players say how they really feel rather than "Well, San Fransisco played a great game, we gave it all as a team and came out with victory."
January 20th, 2014 at 5:01 AM ^
I'll take a Sherman rant over a Ray Lewis sermon every time.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:23 PM ^
Go manning screw the the seachickens..good job sherman. Class act all the way..pathetic
January 19th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
the dichotomy of reactions to Sherman's postgame interview on my FB feed.
theme of posts from all of my older family friends and relatives: classless
theme of posts from friends my age: swagged out, hilarious, awesome, favorite player ever
January 19th, 2014 at 11:30 PM ^
This may not be a representative sample, but my friends and I (about eight of us in total) all thought Sherman's act was a complete embarrassment. We're all 20 year old Michigan students.

I'm probably on the older end of the spectrum, but he once called Skip Bayless an ignorant cretin, so he gets a +1 in my book. Very entertaining.
January 19th, 2014 at 11:40 PM ^
I'm kind of in the middle.
I don't really care that he went off on that rant. It's pro football. It's extremely violent and then all of a sudden IMMEDIATELY after it ends, he's supposed to be calm and gentle? Not gonna happen all the time.
That being said, I disliked him before tonight. Dude has a massive ego, rubs me the wrong way. Some people like and are entertained by what he does. I'm not one of them, but to each their own.
