OT: where to buy a Michigan hat?
I'm a lifelong Michigan fan currently living in Toronto. I'm looking to buy a New Era 59fifty fitted hat but I can't seem to find them anywhere online except in strange colorways or designs. I just want a classic, fitted Bo hat. I'll be in Michigan soon so I could even go to a store in Ann Arbor to get one. Anybody have any ideas?
(I found this on the New Era site, but the block M is huge, so I think that's from their "big logo" series.)

I can only find the same 59fifty fitted as you.
But if you want to go back to 1991...

For the early morning laugh!
The best Michigan hat I ever found was at a truck stop in Iowa. It cost all of $5.00. Unfortunately it was burned after the 2006 OSU game. I still miss it. It was the only hat I've ever looked half way decent in.

Best hat I have ever owned. I should buy another in case mine wears out...

This is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you. I was starting to get worried, but then the mega block M hat started to grow on me. I might have to get two hats.

I really wanted the Bo-style one linked above, but went to Lids and purchased the big block M one last Christmas. I regret the decision, and might have to order the one from Moe's. The new style is OK, but the M is a little overpowering. I just wear it backwards.

Absolutely. The thin M is the bomb. Time for the fat M is running out. I predict it will switch back in 2012.

i thought i wrote the original thread. constantly looking for a fited 59 fifty hat that looks like the old school M hat! i wear a 7 3/4, i know its a huge head, so i have to wear fited hats. i know what im buying today

I got a 7 3/4 too so I feel your pain. This classic Bo hat is really popular on campus right now and was one of the best things presents I asked for on Christmas. It runs a little roomy compared to some of the other 59Fiftys I have but not drastically bigger or anything.

I hope to God nobody wears those things with the 59 fifty sticker on the brim.

I too wear a 7 3/4 hat. Big heads unite.

Try this sucker on before you buy it. It did not fit anyone at the store. Everyone looked straight outta the 50s.

Speaking of Michigan hats, does anybody know where you can buy one of the knit hats the coaches and goalies were wearing at the Camp Randall game the other night? They seem to be nowhere to be found...

Bought it for the OSU football game at one of the Michigan apparel stores on State near State Theater. The big store with a second floor.

Does anyone know if they make the classic Bo-style hat in a stretch fit as opposed to fitted?

I don't believe I have seen one in the past 5 years or so, and I always look at online stores for hats. You best bet would be to keep checking Lids. However, I believe the 'Bo hat' these days are only custom made by the shops that sell them (Moe's and Motivation) so they'll always be 59fifty.
Edit: I should have said I look at online stores every week for hats. From Lids to ECapCity to Hat Club and so on.
BTW, big thanks for the Moe's and Motivation links. I was looking for a Bo 59Fifty hat for awhile and forgot where I could get one.

you should be able to get a decent hat for about 6 bucks.

You burnt your Michigan hat? WTF? You should be banned from posting until you are mature enough to wear your hate proudly whether we win or lose. It's all about the team.

BTW, I got my hat. It was purchased as a gift for me at The Great Divide in Flint. It's a little big, but it's an "old" wool 5950, so it'll shrink to be just right.
Does anybody have any ideas for removing the embroidered New Era logo from the side? I've never owned a non-MLB New Era cap and the maize logo really sticks out and bugs me. I figure if I rip the embroidery out I'll just end up with stitch holes. Dye?

You can buy your desired hat from the official website of Ed Hardy. Because they sell online too.
