Spanier didn't think it would be humane to report Sandusky.
Feds are waiting for those Bozo's, it's their turn now.
buckle up Penn State.
My thoughts are with the victims and their families. What an effing nightmare.
And this buckling up will not be for a recruit. In all honestly this is going to have some serious damage to their university, their athletic departments, and their reputation.
If case against the Athletic Direct turns out to be true, I wouldn't want to send my kids to Penn State, even if my son was 6'5" 270 linebacker/power forward.
Honestly before this all happened, I would have said, no way, Joe Paterno runs a clean ship, thats not true. Now I am curious what else has been covered up. I feel bad for all the innocent people this case is going to do damage to, like the professors, and the current football players and new staff, but the football team deserves the hit that they are likely to receive...
Next on the list to join The Monster in prison should be The 3 Lying Amigos (Curley, Schultz, Spanier). Following that, it's time for PSU to pay up big time to the families of victims who were assaulted on university property or as a result of the school doing nothing to get Sandusky off the streets. PSU must be held accountable for their role in this huge tragedy and scandal.
So glad this monster is off the street. If there is a hell I hope it is creative enough to make him understand what he has done. Jail won't. Someone should skip their suicide watch duty on this one.
...and psu is next. The institutional enablement afforded this pig is pretty unbelievable. I love Michigan football but if one of our guys ever did this I am hopeful someone steps up and stops it.
I haven't heard it commented this way before (if it has, I apologize, I haven't read all the posts here), but the acquittal with respect to the victim that McQuery supposedly witnessed will probably be the beginning of the vindication of Joe Paterno.
I hardly believe Paterno will be vindicated. Sandusky's behavior was not a secret within that athletic department, regardless of what McQuery testified.
Captures my sentiments exactly and the article is well-written.

Here is Jerry Sandusky's tribute
have fun in prison scumbag, now his farts will make no noise the rest of his life
At his age and the stress of the trial, I'd be surprised if he lasted very long in jail. Just a horribly sad situation for the PSU family and especially the victims.
No shock here on the verdict...
interesting to see what the NCAA will do when they do investgation with Penn St?
