OT: USMNT vs Mexico Friendly

As the World Cup approaches, every outing is big for those looking to make the plane for Brazil. Tonight could also be the US debut for Julian Green. Just a friendly, but no love lost between these two teams.

It's going to be interesting, at least the first half until they both pull all the starters.

PS: Is about to start, they are in the middle of the national anthem ceremony.

he looks less like football material than manager of a meat-packing house.

Every 5 minutes he goes off like a clock and waves one arm indignantly.

through UM as a janitor. I have dug ditches and worked on an oil rig, in many restaurants in back and out front. Meat managers are cool. I just don't think he has "la pinta" for a soccer coach, sorry. Obviously, they come in all shapes and sizes.

a bad photograph of a Manet painting that someone spilled water on. I turned on the closed captioning just so I would know if anything happened.

Take it easy champ. This mexican team has maybe one player who will be on the World Cup roster. Not to mention he's a hundred years old in soccer years. It's a good start, but the competition will be ten fold better than this D team they're playing.

Oh no doubt the competition will be better... However, it is really nice to see this unfolding the way it is with a handful of our guys that won't even be making the trip to Brazil... Dempsey looks out of form right now which is somewhat cause for concern but Bradley appears to be at the top of his game. Zusi has also showed flashes on the wing as well. So, yes the competition will be better, but this is a much better showing than against Ukraine last month.

Edit: Nevermind
