Thank you for being a friend.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:46 PM ^
This goes for Gilmore Girls too.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:51 PM ^
Not ashamed to admit that I have seen every episode and can't wait for the Netflix continuation...
February 24th, 2016 at 1:28 PM ^
I've never watched the show, but I sat next to Lauren Graham on a flight from SFO to LAX about eight years ago. I was sitting there going, "I should know who this person is," and then I heard the flight attendant say something like, "I love your show," and so I knew she was an actress. We engaged in small talk, and I found out she was from Northern Virginia like I was. I never asked her who she was, but when I got home, I stalked her on IMDB by searching for her high school (Langley High School), and lo and behold, it was Lauren Graham. She was also in the Seinfeld episode about speed dial, fwiw.

The guy who played Luke on GG was the guy who had to convince Elaine that he was sponge-worthy.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:46 PM ^
But my gf says I have to put my pants back on.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:54 PM ^
Sure there is.

Many a night were spent watching Golden Girls and then Frasier with the wife. Funny trivia is that Bea Aurther didn't like cheesecake in real life.

I won't list mine until you list yours

The Bachelor.........
*awaits shitstorm*
February 24th, 2016 at 12:45 PM ^
I like superstore
February 24th, 2016 at 12:47 PM ^
Looks funny. Haven't given it a chance yet though.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:23 PM ^
I thought it looked terrible. Seems like NBC is just trying to make another workplace comedy like The Office and Parks and Rec.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:23 PM ^
Hate to admit it, but I watch The Bachelor as well.
At first I couldn't stand when my wife watched it, then I came to appreciate it as a comedy. The contestants are generally insane, catty, and full of unrealistic expectations. Normally I don't dig on female schadenfreude, but these women have watched the show for years and still believe they will be the one chosen out of 30...until they inevitabley lose their shit in the limo ride home with a camera in their face.
And the most annoying TV host ever is more than made up for by the parade of eye candy.
As for their spin-offs, I enjoy the Bachelor Pad & Bachelor In Paradise even more as the promiscuity and volume of tears increase. So I have poor taste and I'm an ass.
That said, I draw the line at The Bachelorette - complete douchefest.

New Girl

My wife loves that show and I think it's one of the funnier shows on TV. There's always at least one thing every episode that gets a good laugh out of me, and I don't find much on TV to be funny.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:05 PM ^
Yeah it's a good show. I don't have a wife to blame watching it on as a 24yr old single male haha

No shame what so ever in liking new girl. One of the better sitcoms on the television.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:18 PM ^
While I have never watched New Girl, if I had... I wouldn't be embarrassed to admit I'd watch pretty much anything Zooey Deshanel is in. Still crushing since Elf
February 24th, 2016 at 2:52 PM ^
She's gorgeous and has a golden voice.

Yep - funny show. It has grown on me, and I enjoy it.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:40 PM ^
I watch Pretty Little Liars with near-religious furvor.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:41 PM ^
I finally gave it up like a season after they started that spin off. I wonder how many A's there have been since then.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:44 PM ^
It got batshit insane the end of last season. Like psychopath transgender murderers insane. And then there was a 5 year time jump.
And the girl who plays Alison is ballooning up in size daily.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:13 PM ^
Alison's size was the first thing that I noticed about this new season, which I watch out of my periphs while watching WatchESPN becasue my gf is obsessed.
Fun fact, apparently (and according to my gf), the real-life version of Alison has some type of disorder that causes her to put on weight. Of course, she told me this and I responded, "ya, I had that disorder back in undergrad -- It's called "case race and Pancheros at 3:00am."
February 24th, 2016 at 12:42 PM ^
Also how much more statutory rape. But it's not an ABC Family show without high school girls sleeping with their teachers or bosses.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:50 PM ^
They've toned down the stat rape in the last few seasons.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:50 PM ^
Not abc family anymore. Freeform is the new name I think
February 24th, 2016 at 1:11 PM ^
I don't watch TV. I can't stand it.
My wife told me I HAD TO WATCH THIS SHOW (PLT).
Yeah, It reaffirmed my hatred for TV in 15 minutes.
HOWEVAH! I do like Sherlock. The problem is its only one once a decade.
February 24th, 2016 at 2:45 PM ^
Ha, once a decade is right. I love that show but it takes forever in between seasons. I saw an ad for the recent Christmas special back when I was pregnant with my daughter and realized that she would be almost 18 months old when it finally aired.

The only show my kid watches that I feel like I actually learn from.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:33 PM ^
This could be a thread all of its own: best shows for kids.
Of the shows my kids watch which I find to be good/tolerable, it's mostly PBS stuff: Word Girl, Odd Squad, Curious George, Peg + Cat. I love that Bill Nye is now on Netflix as well.

February 24th, 2016 at 2:06 PM ^
Word Girl is completely fantastic! I'd watch that kids or no kids.
I'm mildly ashamed to say that I really like Downton Abbey.
Rob
February 24th, 2016 at 5:39 PM ^
It reminds me of Square One TV (because, math), but the kids are amazing actors. I actually make sure I record the new episodes to watch with my boys (4 and 2).

Greys Anatomy
February 24th, 2016 at 3:39 PM ^
four or five at a Friday watching. She used to skip past the gossip to the surgeries because she wants to be a surgeon. But now she watches the catty stuff, too. Should I be worried? She also seems to be particularly interested in the show's gay women and the guy with the hair--which, to each their own but at 11? I think I'm probably a really really bad dad.
February 24th, 2016 at 12:41 PM ^
Or one of the spin offs.
